Ridiculous returns policy. Ordered a product into store. Told to collect it a few days later from the self collect point. Got handed a packet with no receipt. Inside the packet was a label that said RETURNS LABEL and no other paperwork or receipt. Later Tried to return the item and was told this isn't the right returns ticket and all I can get is a gift voucher. When I questioned why this confusing label was in there with no other receipt and why none of this was made clear I was told "if you read the back of any Next till receipt it's all on there"..... Okay next time I'll study the small print before believing that something I get from a shop with the words RETURN LABEL isn't a return label.
Apparently it is a postage returns label. Asked if I could return it by post instead then. Apparently no because I ordered it into store. Just a joke.

Went to return and buy items this morning at Next Hartlepool, the young lady called Layne I think I have spelt it right, was so helpful and did everything she could for each customer in front of me with a smile all the time . She was an absolute star we need more like her, well done young lady.

Parking is a huge problem most of the time when visiting this very small next store. (Avoid weekends).I tend to use this store for click and collect mainly for orders placed online to avoid the high postage costs Next charge.They have a small collection point machine at the rear of the store where you key in your order number, and someone will bring out your order. (No ID required). Can be very busy and you can be stood waiting a long time. You're just asked your post code once your name is called - and away you can go with your parcel.The store is too small so the aisles are tightly packed. If someone is browsing, there's not enough room to navigate past them.Even when the store is quiet it can take a while to be served - which is why I have given it a 3 star rating. The staff aren't particularly friendly or helpful.The best thing about this particular next is the Costa attached to the home department upstairs, and the exit doors.

Compared to the absolutely lovely staff at teeside park these ones were rude and self absorbed, continued talking to each other the whole time I was being served and just took the items and gave me the receipt with barely an acknowledgement. Anne is the name on my receipt and she was talking to a blonde woman, maybe Laura. Both so self absorbed, rude and without an ounce of customer service or pleasantries.

Shopping was no problem, staff were very pleasant and helpful with our enquiry.Biggest issue for the store and others in the same area is the size, layout and accessibility of the carpark.We went midweek, in day time, so access into and parking was easier but in busier times and darkness it will be quite chaotic and frustrating

Place an order in this store to be delivered to Washington, delivery send to Hartlepool, called the store place on hold twice, spoke to three different people. No promised call back
