Bought an item in-store. 2 mins later it said ready to collect. It was not ready, 5 mins later it still wasn't. Asked a member of staff who wandered around the back for 10 mins and came back saying he couldn't find it, meanwhile other staff marked the item as collected. Just asked for a refund in the end. Flawed system and flawed staff.

Love Argos, really great store!!! but you guys really need to get someone to sort out your website, way to glitchy from a company your size, should run smoothly, shouldnt be 6+ clicks on one button to get to the next page

Awful store with zero customer service to speak of phone lines constantly tell you to do things on the app that the app is not set up to deal with... never shop with them again

Terrible service. Bought an item on 17 October. Decided to return the item and confirmed I had 30 days to do so. Then the stores closed on 5 November and now only do click and collect. Apparently they can still take your money and you can still visit to collect items, but you can't return items, which involves absolutely no more than a collection would in terms of interacting with staff. But then what do you expect from a business that is dying? They're refusing to accept returns until after lockdown has ended in December. The thing is, they're only extending returns for purchases made on or after 18 October. So I had my item for 19 days out of the 30 day returns period and now I can't return the item because they're not extending my returns period. They say I have 30 days but they're refusing to take it back at day 19 and won't extend it due to lockdown so I'm being robbed of 11 days of my returns period. If you're closing the stores and not accepting returns then you should honour the 30 day rule and extend returns from 6 October. Rip off merchants. Terrible customer service. The service from Argos has been dreadful over recent years, and the (lack of) quality of some of their products, especially furniture has been shocking. It's no wonder they're struggling and due to close all of their stand alone stores over the next few years.Maybe if you treated your customers with basic respect and decency and didn't rip them off, your business would be in a better situation financially. When our standalone store closes there's no way I'll commute 16 miles round trip to the nearest Sainsbury's Argos outlet and I'm not paying £3.50-£30 for delivery that is free on most other websites. I barely use Argos as it is after so many bad experiences.Wayfair offers better quality furniture and lighting, more selection and their protection cover lasts longer and is cheaper. You can get five years of furniture cover from Wayfair that's cheaper than the two year cover from Argos!R. I. P. Argos. Your better days will be fondly remembered, a little like Woolworths.UPDATE: 8.12.20: I had my eye on a furniture set that was £380. It was out of stock for weeks. I called to see if it was a problem with the website as every single set in every single design was out of stock for delivery.I was told that there was an issue with the manufacturer and that the set wouldn't be back in stock until February 2021 at the earliest.Given this information, I bought the individual parts of the set for over £420. A week later the set was back in stock for £380. They told me I could disassemble the three pieces of furniture (including a huge wardrobe), return them and reorder them at the cheaper rate. I'm waiting for a manager to decide whether or not they'd just refund the difference, which would have been the sensible thing to do.Also, I like to pay by PayPal so that I can have extra protection should I encounter issues with the seller. Argos will not let you pay by PayPal if you use any type of discount. I had £18 of Nectar points I wanted to use. When I tried to redeem them against the purchase, it greyed out the PayPal option. Finally, I ordered a bed in October. There's no issues with it and thankfully it is sturdy, but nowhere on the website or in the instructions does it say what the weight capacity of the bed is. I contacted Argos. The first person said he didn't know and terminated the chat session. The second person said he'd e-mail the manufacturer (according to the box it's made in Brazil) and never got back to me. I used the Q&A section to post the question, which has been posted and is live. No response two months later.Really terrible aftersales. Customer service is nonexistent.

great, speedy service. went to get a fitbit and i got it within 2 minutes, and i was off home with an amazing fitbit. would recommend, but you need to order in advance for pickup, unfortunately you can't roam around in the store and look in the booklets like that anymore.
