Proper pub food. I had the lasagne, phenomenal, partner had the beef pie, I got jealous. Proper home cooked chips. Real traditional pub feel, lovely atmosphere. The staff were superb. And all very reasonably priced. This is what I think of when I think old school pub food. Brilliant. We will be back

lovely experience and very friendly staff. great value for money. I really enjoyed my main course which was chicken skewers with tortilla wraps salad and dips. thankyou very much for a wonderful meal.

Myself and my husband decided to meet up for a quick drink after work and thought we would have a quick drink before heading home, when we arrived the oldish guy who worked there was very rude to us as we walked in and said you not here for food or you? We said no just for a quick drink! He said well we are closing for 3pm so won't be serving food with abrupt voice, we said it's ok just here for a drink! He was not pleasant at all and made us feel rushed that we had to leave. Just a tip from customers please be more nice to your customers being nice goes along way! You wanting customers to come in to a nice happy environment not looking miserable and feeling like you can't be bothered to do your job. So what it was 2pm you had an hour until closing time why turn customers away we are paying not as if we sat there for free. My husband drove passed after 3pm you were still Open and was more customers in.

Meal was fine, was asked if we needed anything sauces so asked for gravy to go with the beef sandwich and chips. As leaving was told we owed for the gravy boat £1, which you would have thought it would be standard with the beef. Disappointed

Been here lots of times.never had a bad experience always made welcome staff is great food is amazing lots of choice.its our goto bub for bar and restaurant.we went here for our first anniversary and that was 32 years ago and we still going regulare it's always been great thank God it's still going.well done for keeping it alive.you know what they say (if it's not broke don't fix it).
Vegetarian options: Don't bother to look am not vegetarian
Parking: Parking in car park surrounding the pub no restrictions.
Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome with accompanying adult great menus for kids.

Came here for a working lunch with two colleagues. Extensive choice on menu of both hot and cold dishes which allowed for a wide price range. My colleagues both chose the braised steak panini which was served in an open style with a side salad. They both raved about this dish and my husband would love it! I went for the smaller option of a freshly cut roast beef sandwich with salad. The beef was top quality and suited my calorie allowance just fine. Lovely place, nice staff and good service. Sat outside afterwards, finishing my drink while waiting for a lift. All round great spot, do try it.
