Rooms are basic but comfortable ? very very clean ? All you need for a night away from home

Towel left in room was used. Had hair and dust in it.
Same as a half-used toilet roll. It was halfway gone and the edge folded in a triangle and sealed with what I hope is water.
Then got locked out of my room on the second day for whatever reason. Came back in the night and had to wait for my card to be reactivated. Terrible experience. Would not recommend. There was cheaper guest houses close-by but I chose the travel lodge expecting to get value for the money spent. I was disappointed.

Bloody horrible, it's like living on an oven. We knew there was no air conditioning in the room but with a modern building it should be over heating to this degree. Opened the window to let the late night cold air but there is no cross flow to let the air move, all that comes in is the noise from the main road. We will not be staying there again unless there is an artic storm of biblically proportions and we need to keep warm! The dssign team for this building should hang their heads with shame. To be fair, I should add that there was a fan which was strong enough to mildly cool you if you stood in front of it, but no good if you your in bed!

Despite charging high prices for a 1 star hotel, sadly this hotel is a homeless shelter where on my stay there was friction between staff and residents on more than one occasion resulting in the Police attending. Very noisey throughout the night.
Sadly travelodge do not tell guests this hotel is a homeless shelter. They should contain the hotel to a shelter and manage accordingly.
Shame on you travelodge.

The TV is annoying, when the voice describe is on, you have to get staff to change it, there is no other way. So Annoying

Basic room but with everything you need. Clean linen and room. Good shower and a carvery next door for dinner and breakfast.

Poor. Soap and shower gel dispensers empty. Noone on reception to get help, the number to call on reception for urgent requirements just keeps saying noone available. The bathroom is abit dirty. This is basic requirement in a hotel and what a waste of money of I can't wash my hands or have a shower?!!!

Stayed here while visiting Darlington.
Plenty of free parking on site and well priced for quality of accommodation on offer.
Lady on reception was incredibly friendly while checking in.
Room itself was clean and well presented, will definitely use again if in the area.

We stayed here for two nights a family of four, the staff where friendly and the location was in walking distance of everything you could need. The room was small for the four of us plus the luggage with only one chair.

Budget hotel, but comfortable and great for what we wanted. They offer breakfast at extra cost but it is only a cold breakfast box. However there is a Toby carvery next door. Rooms are clean and pleasant, with TV, ensuite and refreshment facilities. All in all very adequate for what we wanted and needed.
