Just been served by Liam, really good, patient service while I faffed on trying to get something sorted, so much so I felt compelled to take the time to write this, a credit to Toolstation.

Costomer service is shocking the lads are alright in there it?s mainly the women staff who would rather finish of there conversation before serving costomers very rude very abrupt and not helpful at all would rather ignore you and continue there conversation don?t ask for an alternative or any information on products because they will huff and puff because they have to work and carnt continue to socialise won?t be going back to Darlington store would rather drive out of town due to how rude they can actually be example walk in stand at the desk wait five minutes until they acknowledge a human has walked in the shop five minutes ago look at you like crap ask for advise to get the book thrown at you the information you need is in there is the answer you get then when your ready you have to stand another five minutes for them to finish there conversation again point is they should be on the ball and helpful as possible and they arnt

Wanted a belt for my belt sander. I didn?t have the sizing so asked to see some to compare sizes and guy was really unhelpful and clearly couldn?t be bothered. Went to Screwfix instead and came away with everything I needed.

Been shopping here for years, so much that I know all the team members by name. Always my first port of call to pick up supplies as they consistently go above and beyond to help. If they?re unable to help with what I need they?re knowledgeable enough to suggest where else to go. Thanks for everything

The Darlington branch the last four time?s I?ve been in has been a joke, only me in the shop waiting to be served while the staff are all talking in the back.the other times asked if I they had a product and just said look in here and threw a tool station book at me,the last time it happened I just said it?s fine will go to scewfix where they are helpfull.will never use this branch again customer service is SHOCKING!!!!! (Would have put no stars but would not let me).

Reminds me of Argos in the old days without the computers next to the catalogue - the staff are not as knowledgeable as say B&Q but find the part quickly. Ideally, order online to avoid disappointment over lack of stock, but great selection at the cheapest of prices in any DIY shop - except for smaller items like screws where you will get too many - more than you need. That's why I preferred Wilko, other than that more products relevant to daily life and being more conveniently located (within walking distance).
