I don't even live in Darlington and still come to this store. Staff are lovely and have a good laugh with you.
Pam and the rest of the team are the reason I trek to Darlington to this store

Very rude staff member.Didn't make my shopping experience very nice.My daughter chose 10 books at the reduced price of 75p which we thought was great for £7.50.The rude assistant must of thought we had chosen the 10 for£10 and as soon as we putthem on the counter she said you can't have them in the offer. We knew this and I tried to say but the assistant rudely said to let her speak and for me to be quiet.Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. So much for being kind.

Constantly poor products. Yes they are cheap but the majority of things you get have so little relation to the box and contents I am amazed they are even allowed to sell most the items for false advertising. Fine for pencils, books. You can't really mess them up, and the reason they get the 2 stars. I would avoid any of the "toys" as we haven't had one that's not led to disappointment.

One of the scariest moments of my life today, my mum collapsed in the cornmill. Thankyou so much to the security/first aiders who were on hand very quickly and soon erected screens and sheets for her privacy. Thankyou to the two ladies who quickly called for an ambulance and offered their help, you were all amazing and I can't thankyou all enough for what you did today

After shopping in there this morning I was appalled at how I was spoken to by a member of staff named Paula. She not only interrupted a personal conversation but told me to "get out" in a spiteful manner. The personal conversation was not offensive at all, and it was very VERY unprofessional to speak to a customer the way she did in a packed store.

Very poor wheel chair access due to narrow aisles and extra stock piles on the end of rows.

The Cornmill came at the wrong time for Darlington, it has never been full and a strange design made it less of an adventure than many other shopping malls. It has suffered by not having a big name on board with only W H Smith really being a main line shop. it does how ever have some good food points , with sandwiches made as you wait to a lovely relaxed coffee bar to a self service cafe. Greggs being a haven for students who take over that area at lunchtime. Even now its seems to be a pale copy as the christmas tree occupies the space near the escalators and poor Santa no longer has his own grotto. The credit crunch has been hitting Darlington for some time now and the Cornmill shows this better than most.

The Cornmill Shopping Centre is located in the middle of Darlington Town Centre. Very easy to find and they also have a large car park, which is very handy. They have a wide selection of shops including, W H Smith, Woolworths, HMV, Primark, Dorothy Perkins and Julian Graves. It has 2 floors full of shops, with an escalator and lifts for people who don't want to use the stairs. As it's right in the middle of town, it's very handy if you need to go somewhere that isn't in the Cornmill. they also have cafes and takeaway food for those who need a pick me up while walking around!

An easy place to find, head for the centre of town and there it is. When it was first built people were very suspiscious of this centre but it has proved to be popular. A mixture of shops means that you can buy quite a bit undercover from books to clothes and now that Tesco has arrived even food. Is about to have a new multi million pound facelift which will help make it a centre of Darlington life for years to come.

The Cornmill Centre has a good range of shops and is bang in the centre of Darlington with car parks close by. My favourite shops include a good size Primark, New Look, HMV, Dorothy Perkins and Top Shop. There are also a few bargain book stores, Billy Bunters cafe and there are a few stall dotted along the work way with hand made good and sweets. A good choice for shopping when the weather is not great
