DO NOT USE HERE Worst place ever for a sofa, few years ago got one from scs and it was faulty. The man who came out said it was faulty then received a letter saying that it was fine so wasn?t going any further with the complaint.We left it there. Went in September 2021 thought we?d give them another go and guess what the sofas is faulty again collapsing on one side when you sit in it, can feel the bar under your knees, arms caved in. Cushion that came away he though it was acceptable to hand sow and it looked like a child had done it but took the photos of it the opposite way so it looked ok. The man told us who came out that there was a fault with the foam as he had the same problem with his, said to my husband that someone would be in touch with the fault. My husband had to ring the customer support team as no one contacted us and was told that there was no fault and they were closing the report so in other words the guy put a false statement on his report. So this time we ain?t letting them get away with it so if we get no joy taking it to the solicitors as they?ve had just under 3 grand off us in cash. Would highly Un-recommend this place

Like some others it seems, we were told our carpets would be fitted before Xmas. However, when we got our confirmed invoice, it was later than planned. We were told they'd be in touch to confirm fitting date, once the carpet had been delivered. That day came.. no contact. We rang them and suddenly the carpet was going to take another month before it was delivered. We thought about cancelling, but decided we would just put up with no carpets for another month.On the updated day they were supposed to contact us about fitting again, and again, there was no contact. We rang them, and it was delayed again for another 2 weeks.When they finally got them delivered after around 9 weeks of ordering them, they confirmed the fitting in 12 days. (even though they said it takes 3-7 days for them to be fitted in your home).The night before they were supposed to be getting fitted, we obviously had to move all the furniture. (We were getting all of upstairs carpeted, so had to move EVERYTHING downstairs). The next morning, we got a call from the fitters saying there was a fault line in the carpet, so they have to send it back, and they wouldn't be able to fit them that day.I was annoyed to say the least. I had taken the day off work to be in for them, and they had the carpet in the warehouse for 12 days, and I'm not sure why they couldn't check it was in good condition earlier?Rang up to cancel and get a refund, and they said they would ring back to issue the refund, they didn't (obviously). Still waiting on the refund.We Ended up going somewhere else, buying a cheaper, nicer, better quality carpet, with cheaper fitting and other materials.I ended up saving £500 overall, and they could be fitted withing a week of me going into the shop and ordering them. Wish we did this in November when we were first looking for carpets, would have saved a LOT of stress and time, and money.I will never be using SCS again, And I encourage others to use a more reliable, friendlier company. Very stressful dealing with them for the past 3 months.

We ordered our stair carpet in the middle of October 2021 we were promised faithfully that it would definitely be fitted well before Christmas as a matter of fact the salesman gave us a date the latest would be the 26th of November. It is now January and to our disgust we still have not got a date for a fitting. Apparently our carpet is still not arrived in this country yet. The after sales of SCS is utterly shameful. We are pensioners and because we assumed the carpet would be fitted around the26th of November we took our old carpet up as there was going to be a charge for doing so. So we ended up with no carpet for months and especially around Christmas time when we were expecting visitors. It has been a nightmare and very stressful. So I would NEVER EVER advise anyone to shop at SCS Darlington

It was pleasing, entering a furniture shop and not being mobbed by sales reps. A warm welcome was offered and we were left to look around the store in peace. There is an excellent range of furniture at varied prices.We soon found what we were looking for and we caught the eye of the nearest Rep.The Rep certainly knew his product. Of course he tried to sell us protective coatings for our newly purchased suite. Following a brief sales pitch, we managed to do a deal on the protection.He was upfront with the lead time for our suite. We had expected a delay, so the January deadline was expected.Furniture shopping ranks very low on my list of favourite outings. At least this time it was hassle free. Say yes to SCS.

Visit the store last week, very impressed with my visit. The staff were great, greeted as we entered, left to browse, not like other places who pester you 24/7, but were there when needed to provide the details on the sofas we were debating. Sharon was fabulous & a credit to your company. So friendly & the store was in great shape. Highly recommend this store. We will be back for our carpets.

We visited the darlington branch on saturday specifically looking for a Lazyboy leather sofa , snd we were spoilt for choice . The saleslady was so friendly and helpful we took full advantage of the free coffee while choosing our grade and leather colour , we cant wait for it to arrive ,well be back soon to match a carpet ! Thankyou scs

Visited the store today in Darlington after watching the the TV adds promoting the Lawrence Bowen sofas, stunning contemporary designs well worth a visit and the staff are super friendly and helpful.

Staff very polite and helpful. Very good selection of furniture. Would have been nice to have been offered a drink as it takes a bit of time to do paperwork. All very clear and concise though.

Lovely products and a right treat for the eyes. Prices at the moment (Dec 20) seem very keen. Whilst there a mistake occurred and I was overcharged by £20. Tried to telephone the store but held in endless loops of telephone options (press 9 if you are losing the will to live whilst hanging on phone) so gave up and drove to store. Refunded without question, but what a chew! Overall high scores. Good products, lovely showroom.

Not impressed with this Company, waited 5 months for delivery of my sofa and chair. It was finally delivered on 26th January. Guess what , the chair arrived without any legs. Lady phoned to say they would have to be ordered and they would be sent in the post. Surely when you build a chair your build it with legs. So still waiting to hear when the legs will arrive together with the appropriate person to fit them properly. Its hard to get hold of them on the phone also. I understand there are delays because of this virus but other companies seem to have got it right. Don't think I will be using them again.

Dreadful experience, zero customer service, impossible to contact.Ordered a stairs and landing carpet, incorrect delivery date, carpet estimated cut wrong leading to a further 4 week delay, tried to contact store not possible unless you go there (not ideal during a pandemic), customer service team do not reply to emails (sent six, zero response).On day of delivery mk 2 find out wrong type of carpet ordered meaning fitter (despite call night before to say everything was fine) did'nt have time to fit it, a further four day delay.I really cannot find any positive feedback from my experience of scs and would encourage people not to spend their hard earned money with this company.Update, between the store and the area manager they managed to give me the incorrect date for the fitting resulting in a further seven day delay.The social media 'team' did eventually reply to me after 28 days delay. It appears that Nick and his team they are unable to read a chain email correctly. Needless to say the reply was totally unsatisfactory and worthless.

The service was really helpful and friendly and head a great knowledge of what we where asking after. Helped this find the perfect sofa at the perfect price, without being pushy. Our salesman was particularly helpful and helped us get a good price.

Received delivery today. The delivery men excellent. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the furniture. The two seater sofa has the wrong legs, the stitching on the arms and sides is terrible all puckered up and wavey. The three seater sofa will not join up the attachment is in the wrong place and there is a gap between the two seats. I am having to wait five weeks for someone to come and look at it. Considering we spent nearly £5000 I think the quality very poor and a waste of money. The quality of the one in the shop was far superior. Very unhappy with this
