The other day I went to the store to pick up an item I'd ordered from the website.
I stood at the "Collection" point waiting to be served, when an assistant came to me, they immediately barked out "Have you checked in?" to which I replied "No". The next question followed, "Did you order on the app?" "No" I answered, "I've ordered on your website". To that, the assistant said, "Go and check in". Getting more and more hacked off by the attitude of your staff, I replied "I don't want to Check In, it's not an Internet cafe, I just want my goods. Another assistant barked out "It's easier for us, if you use the App and check in when you get here", to which I replied "So it's easier for you but more difficult for me to buy from your store?"
The original assistant then collected my order using my name - just like they always used to.
I walked out of the store shaking me head and saying to myself "never, never, never again will I use Screwfix...
I just don't get why you're making life so difficult for your customers and making the whole experience of visiting your stores so distasteful. Are you deliberately trying to go bust? Who is the jerk in the company that comes up with these stupid ideas?
I'll try not to ever use Screwfix again and it will be Toolstation, Wickes, B&Q, etc from now on.

Blond short santas little helper looking lady wouldn't sell wd-40 to a customer while I was in there. I bought some for him, didn't realise he was going to spray it on the pavement outside bingo... paramedics on scene there's dust and broken bones everywhere... sorry my bad

I bought a mitre saw from screwfix Darlington an hour ago. The top of the box was sealed with brown tape rather than clear tape. I?ve just got home now, unpacked it and it?s been used. There are scratches on it and the blade is damaged. Rang customer service lady who couldn?t help from head office I have to waste my time going back down and complain in person. CHANGE YOUR NAME TO EBAY AS YOU SELL SECONDHAND GOODS. AT LEAST EBAY ARE HONEST ABOUT IT.
