My insurance marker study gave me a list of insurance companies who I could choose to repair my shop. So I ended up picking this place.When you call them initially they are very friendly etc etc.. but once they have your car communication is non existence. There attitude completely changes.My car was involved in a front end repair however after collecting my car I realised my horn was not working.so I took it back they cleaned it and then put it back on worked fine.So I decided to take it to a body shop I have used previously. They were adamant I hadn't been to an insurance approved repairer.My horn should have just been replaced , bonnet hinges were not replaced bonnet didn't line up properly Bonnet latch needed replacing, radiator was leaking. Paint had debris in it list goes on.I decided to get rid of the car please be very very careful when using this company they will bill your insurance for parts that are not replaced on your vehicle. ( when you ask them for an invoice , what parts have been replaced they will advise speak to your insurance)IMPORTANTcheck the invoice against what parts have been repaired, if your not happy go main dealer or ask your insurance to send someone out to review work carried out Asap !!Don't be intimidated.

Couldn't fault the guy that collects the cars but that's as far as it goes had car 3 times for rear bumper and wheel last time for over 9 weeks to come back with a paint job on one wheel so dont match avoid if your insurance try to send you there

We have just recently got our car back from Steer, who have done a fantastic job repairing the front bumper and wing after we unfortunately hit a deer. Great repair and colour match.Car fully valleted.Very regular updates , and staff were brilliant

My i20N got rear ended and was a right mess. Steer had my car for just under two weeks, and it was perfect when I picked it up. Everything, from the colour match, to the gaps between the bumper and side panels. Fantastic job.Services: Painting

It really saddens me to write this, a lovely gentleman picked my car up after an unfortunate incident I had with my Touareg, it?s now been 7 weeks since the incident and I still don?t have my vehicle back, Communication has been lacking, I did get a call a couple of weeks ago saying it would be ready by the end of that week?. Now I feel like I?m being fobbed off? I rang again a few days ago to be told I would get a call back re when my vehicle would be completed? that did not happen. I feel it would have been quicker too send it to Germany to get it repaired. I live in hope that it will return this week. Iv been nothing but nice regarding this matter but feel I?m being brushed off. If they couldn?t have done this work I would rather have been told. Living in hope Karen Pattison. ?Service: Body & Trim

Contacted within a couple of hours of being shunted, appointment was made and hassle free, very helpful staff, explaining to me what to expect from the insurance company. Three days later I'm still waiting for the insurance company to contact me regarding the assessment..

From giving me a quote ,through my insurance, I had to use them ,they gave me an appointment for repairs a full 3 months later.Roll on appointment,they collected car but no hire/courtesy car available.Have had car 6 days now and not started repairsWaste of space

Great repair work and very good customer serviceHad my car in via insurance as the driver side wing mirror needed replacing. Got it back and the work was great, they even cleaned my car.However I noticed an issue with the driver-side speaker upon return of my vehicle, it was very rattley from any reasonable amount of bass and sounded awful with any house/techno music. Knew it must have been something to do with the work they did so I gave them a call and was told to bring it in and they'll have a look. Within 20 mins they had the problem solved and my tunes were sounding mint again.Thanks again!

Just had my landrover freelander repaired at north east accident repair after reversing into my garden wall causing severe damage,it took a while to get it in but when I got it back I was over the moon with the job they had done, it was like a new car absolutely brilliant ,and it was washed and polished whoever did the repair Is a magician can't recommend them highly enough .John mcdonald

My vehicle was recently sent here via my insurance company after being involved in an accident. The repair work was very poor and my vehicle was returned to me with more damage than what it originally went in with. My vehicle also had overspray on it suggesting it had been painted whilst the bumper was still on my vehicle which is shocking of any paint shop. The manager was also very unhelpful and claimed that non of his staff had caused this additional damage despite it not being in the pick up damage report and it was collected on a dry, sunny day. The customer service is non existent. I would avoid at all costs.Services: Painting

Customer-facing skills are appalling.I would rate customer service as zero, because there wasn?t any.Visited to get an estimate for some body work a few days ago and the man on reception was on the phone for 4 minutes (young-ish, married, tattoos). Once finished, he started typing at his PC and continued with me still waiting and did not make any comment or eye contact the whole time. I may aswell have been invisible ? I walked out.They also charge £40 for an estimate ? 2 other local companies in the area gave free estimates and were considerably more attentive. I make an effort to support locally-owned businesses and it?s sad that this one acts like a national chain that doesn?t really care.I?m glad I didn?t end up giving any of my money to this company in the end.If you want a business to value you and your custom then this isn?t the one for you.

Dropped my car into NEAR following a no fault incident. Very impressed with the smooth handover. All of my concerns were addressed in a highly professional manner.Customer service is very much at the heart of this company.I rang a couple of days later for an update. The call handler couldn't do enough to answer my queries. Well impressed thus far.Picked up my repaired car today. I initially called for a progress report. I was informed that my car was ready ahead of schedule. I'm very pleased indeed with the repair. The customer service has been superb throughout. Thank you NEAR.
