Dropped in on the off chance and ended up with a couple of pairs of walking boots at an exceptionally good sale price. The wonderful lady was dead helpful, full of info on the surrounding area (and walking boots!) Nothing was too much trouble and I even got to try on a pair of divine Moabs!! So....if you you're around and pop in, ask for Amelia I think the lady's name was, although I'd imagine all the staff are great. Good shop, sensible prices and a bargain right now ???

Just popped into my local millets darlington and the young man who was there didn't want to help at all, l was still talking to him when he walked off to talk to someone else. Told me to order online and his job was done.

Called in on the off chance if finding some walking shoes. I buy mens as I take 9 and manufacturers still can't make women's shoes bigger than 8! Jayne served me and was so cheerful and friendly. It was a pleasure be served by staff making an effort. Found exactly what I wanted and Jayne was very knowledgeable about products. I gather they've recently moved premises. Long may they stay there! Thanks very much.

I called in to Millet's Darlington branch today to buy some walking trousers, and was served by Alex, another very helpful and pleasant member of staff. I have always found that all of Millet's staff are informative, helpful and welcoming, making it my first choice shop for outdoor clothing and equipment.
