My experience with Metro Furniture was fantastic from start to finish and I thoroughly recommend them. I am very happy with my chair and footstool. The quality is fantastic. I had a big refurb of my lounge and wanted one of the Queen Anne armchairs as a focal point. Angela was absolutely brilliant in her communication by email, on the phone and in person. I wanted to see examples of the furniture in person so had a day trip out to their shop in Darlington. She let me take all the time I needed to look at the different armchair and sofa options and look through various swatch books. She was kind enough to let me take one of the books home so that I could have a look at the material alongside other furnishings and then arranged collection of it free of charge once I'd finished with it. I was able to postpone the delivery for a few weeks until my lounge was ready and choose a day that I would be at home to receive it. I asked if it would be possible to have a small piece of the fabric to reupholster a small rocking chair I was given as a present for the lounge. Angela sent a piece 3 times bigger, which was very generous. So I've been able to use it to recover a small footstool found in a charity shop as well as the chair. Although my upholstering skills are rather poor compared with theirs! There was a bit of a problem with the underside of the footstool and its legs when it arrived, nothing major just not quite as I had hoped, but Angela arranged for it to be collected by courier, fixed and returned, all within about a week with no quibble or questions asked nor any cost to me. Fantastic customer service from Angela and her colleagues. Thank you very much!

Had a 3 piece suite reupholstered and metro have done a brilliant job !! Excellent service , Angela was very friendly and very helpful .We are absolutely delighted with it ,would recommend them to everyone!!

We recently purchased two, two seater sofas from Metro Furnishings and have been delighted with the furniture and the customer service from the company. After an initial email contact we visited the factory and were welcomed by Angela with a cup of tea, and nothing was too much trouble. We were able to sit on examples of the styles we were interested in and look at the wide range of fabrics on offer. We identified fabrics we thought would be suitable but on returning home they proved not to be a good match for existing furnishings so Angela sent us alternatives by return of post. After ordering, the owner of the company delivered our order with a colleague and set both sofas up in our sitting room; this was after only about 2 - 3 weeks! We would highly recommend this small, British, family owned and run company which demonstrate beautiful upholstery skills and a fine attention to detail.

Can't pass comment on this company but they obviously have disrespect for other cars parked . Wedged me in and couldn't get back into my car. Just had a sarcastic reply, that's what I was expecting! Not an apology or anything,! Obviously they have a big chip on there shoulders.The highway code says you shouldnt park to close to another vehicle. I have taken legal advice on this and you are breaking the law by preventing me getting into my car.

Beautiful workmanship at a very reasonable price.I am so happy with my chair which was made to my requested measurements. Excellent quality, lovely firm seat and friendly communication.The chair was delivered within the quoted time frame.I would definitely like to order from this company again.

I cannot fault this company. I had to change my delivery day due to a family illness and the lady I spoke to was more than helpful, she told me to ring back to rearrange another date when all was well. She was polite, helpful, friendly and cheerful. When I was ready for the chairs I rang on a Friday and they were delivered the following Monday. I am so pleased with them very well made and excellent quality, well worth the money. I highly recommend Metro Furniture.

Terrible company. Paid £90 for a storage box. 4 weeks later the hinges fell off. I had to replace the hinges and screws to strengthen it. This company offered no help or assistance at all recomend avoidance. Customer service is non exusttant.

Had a snuggle chair from Metro , very pleased with the chair however the lack of stars is due to the fact that the dimensions of the chair stated on the website were not what I received. They have since changed it ! My chair was 3 inches short in width and the seat width was an inch short. They would not do anything about it as I asked for a partial refund as did not get what I asked for but was told that the material did not come in that width hence it was shorter. My argument was that I was never informed of this !So ensure you measure your chair on receipt of a chair from them .The reply from owner saying measurements are correct,is only because they had amended them on their website after I had brought it to their attention to cover themselves as have proof they were different before my purchase !
