We wanted to try here for coffee and cake but the lady behind the counter was so rude and unwelcoming we decided not to bother. Other people?s reviews talk about the welcoming staff but that certainly wasn?t our experience, we were made to feel as though we were an inconvenience before we even got through the door?

Food was absolutely amazing, the decor was beautiful and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We were a group of three and ordered three separate dishes. We mentioned that we couldn?t decide what we wanted, as everything looked so nice, so we decided to share. The lady who served us brought over three side plates so we could share easily - she was so friendly and welcoming could tell that she really put effort into creating a good experience for customers. All of the food was amazing, the pulled pork fries and cheesy waffles were a stand out for me.
We will certainly be back again!

Popped in to Maggie's by chance as I was in the area. Lucky for me there was a table available, although they were busy. made to feel very welcome immediately. Decided on the shakshuka with bacon and gluten free toast. So glad I did, it was heavenly! Finished with a gluten free cherry bakewell cake. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend, if you fancy good food and nice surroundings. I will be back next time I venture to Darlington.

As a follow up to my review, I would like to point out that you have not, in fact, as the Owner, spoken to me. I did not pay the bill. There was no interaction opportunity with you. Based on your response, I can see that, instead of probing what actually happened, you choose to blame the customer. The approach of your member of staff is indicative of your approach now, hostile and impolite. If you as a business really don't want honest, accurate, polite, well meaning feedback, then why ask for it? I also note that you don't address food leaving the kitchen in an inedible condition. Or that you don't get it right sometimes. Perhaps overseeing quality might resolve that, or alternatively accept the feedback you ask for when things aren't satisfactory. Being over protective in business is counter productive to growth and development. A poor response.

What can I say? Definitely the best brunch by far, the staff were lovely too. My partner and I went in today and had the B.E.M brunch, we had no expectations but WOW it was insane! Definitely be back, we have found our new favourite place to go! ??????????

Visited yesterday for the first time with my Son and my friend. I was able to get a parking space close by. It was very busy but there was a table available for us. My friend and I had the English breakfast and hot chocolates and my Son had fruit and waffles and a strawberry milkshake. We were very happy with our breakfasts. Excellent customer service and welcoming atmosphere. The place was clean and tidy.

Absolutely beautiful breakfast xx so many gorgeous options on the menu and all very conscious of bowel issues, veggie options and gluten free.
