“Perfect one night stay in between Christmas and NY. Christmas decorations are beautiful, spa garden at sunset with cocktails was memorable, superior room in the old hall was amazing and the food (breakfast and dinner) was outstanding. Expensive but worth every penny! Staff were the best I have ever experienced at a hotel. Polite, helpful, non intrusive and totally customer focused. Highly recommend and did not want to leave. Thank you for an amazing stay.”

“Stayed here for one night before a big charity bike ride, which meant leaving very early in the morning. Michelle & Steve were so accommodating, letting us store our bikes, and leaving out some breakfast stuff for us to have at 4am before setting off. The rooms were spacious and clean with tea & coffee, just what we needed. Thanks so much!”

Lady on reception was incredibly friendly while checking in.

Room itself was clean and well presented, will definitely use again if in the area.”

“Visited for Sunday lunch. Very friendly staff, promptly took orders for drinks and food. Served in reasonable time. We had the 2 courses for £21. Enjoyed the chilli beef starter, very generous portion sizes. The beef was well cooked on the roast main, lamb ok, but most other things on the plate were under seasoned and bland and the Yorkshire pudding quite doughy on the bottom. Roast potatoes were ok, but not crispy at all. The cauliflower cheese was basically just steamed, with cheese melted in top. A decent gravy could have saved the day, but that didn't have much flavour either and was quite gelatinous in consistency.
Overall rated good due to staff and ambience, but food was average. I probably won't be back for the Sunday roast, but would be happy visit again during the week to try other things on the main menu.”

“My daughter booked a night stay at this lovely hotel for my birthday...had a session in the new spa...all i can say is pure perfect!! I love the new spa facilities!! Outdoor hot tub is perfect...two other hot tubs inside and a sauna + plunge pool ...very comfortable lounge area .... i would like to give a huge shout out for mandy on reception...impeccable customer service!! She is an absolute asset to Hallgarth hotel...her professionalism was second to none!! She made our stay so wonderful and made my birthday so special ...thank you so much mandy ? room was outstanding, clean and so comfortable...breakfast was excellent!! Will be staying again!!
