“I love salad and often order them when out. Today I had the salad bowl with quinoa adding a 5oz steak. As usual I request dressing on side. The pineapple and ginger dressing was the best I have ever tasted! The salad was fresh, well presented and plentiful. The steak was exactly as ordered. Staff were friendly and polite. Highly recommended coming here and I'll be having the salad bowl again!”

“We needed somewhere to stay in the Darlington area so that we could attend a parkrun in Spennymoor. Although here are closer premier Inns, the price and location were excellent. Usual good standard, clean rooms, hot showers and a decent Beefeater next door for an evening meal. There is a MacDonald's for cheaper food next door.”

“Me and my fiance got engaged in February this year at hallgarth since then we have been back twice since then we really can't fault the place at all even though we had a couple of minor issues that we spoke to mandy on reception about and she sorted everything out straight away nothing was to much bother at all mandy has made our visits so much more worth while going she really is a great asset to the hotel and the job role she does also mandy's work colleague Tracey is so very helpful to we only met her the last visit and again nothing was a bother to help in anyway and the bar team headed by the main man Will absolutely fantastic manners and service this hotel is going to be our destination for years to come in the future our happy place”
