Service and staff terrible. They are rude and unhelpful. 1st visit they kept us waiting 30mins to pick up the car and I only got the car back by going into the actual garage and dining one of the mechanics. 2nd visit, still unfriendly. I was 4 mins late and he said they wouldn?t do my MOT and I?d have to wait because I was 4 mins late. They then said 1 1/2 hour and they call me when the car was ready. 2 hours later I?m still waiting for the call and they are not answering their phone! I?ll stick with Kwikfit on McMullen Road, they are friendly, helpful, do what they say they will do and even more that they don?t need to do.

First MOT booked at 3pm for an electric car with no issues. I am still waiting at 5:15 for this to be completed. Parking also horrendous. Chose this garage as convenient for my work place but now I'm having to stay late waiting more than 2 hours for a 30 minute MOT. Not impressed, won't be coming back.

Took company car in to investigate the noise coming from the car. They had the car for a whole day, phoned up and they said it was ready to collect. When on collecting the vehicle I asked about the noise, they said they just ran a diagnostic check through computer. Explained that's not what it was originally in for. 1 of them took it out for test drive and actually realised what I was on about. Now having to wait for this to be fixed. If I didn't push for this to be checked, I would of driven the vehicle with a major mechanical fault! There was a note about the noise when company booked the vehicle in.

Parking spaces are limited and although a time slot is booked, the work hadn't commenced an hour after delivering the car. Due to the parking issues you feel obliged to move your vehicle as soon as it's out of the workshop, as they're wanting to bring the next vehicle in and your blocking the entrance.
Counter staff polite and friendly.

Booked my car in for an MOT on 7th August. It failed for rear brake imbalance and was flagged with an oil leak. I understood the car was 23 years old, so I agreed to the work they said was needed to correct the rear brakes and booked it back in for 13th August ? including a free re-test.
Dropped the car off at 8am and paid £10 for a taxi home. When I returned at 4:30pm, the car hadn?t even been moved. They simply said, ?We didn?t get to it.?
I later took the car to Kwik Fit Newton Aycliffe on 16th August.
It passed the MOT with no work done at all.
Rear brake imbalance was measured at 23% ? well within the legal 30% limit.
No oil leak. No repairs needed. No faults found.
So I was failed by Halfords for a brake issue that didn?t exist, agreed to pay for repairs I didn?t need, and was left off the road for three weeks due to their failure to even follow through.
I submitted a complaint with evidence and a receipt for the taxi, and I?m still waiting for a response.
Absolutely zero trust left in this garage. If you want a fair MOT, go somewhere else.

I booked a free tyre check at Halfords Autocentre ?Darlington and dropped my car off at 9:30am. I didn?t hear anything all day and had to call myself at 4:45pm to get an update.
When I asked whether my tyres were okay, the staff member just gave a vague response like ?yeah, they seemed fine.? There was no written report or any specific feedback about tread depth, tyre pressure, or overall condition.
My tyre pressure warning light was still on when I collected the car, which immediately raised doubts about whether the tyres had been checked at all. After the appointment, I went to fill the tyres myself and found the air levels were low ? something you?d expect them to address during any proper check.
I left my car there for the whole day expecting a basic level of service and transparency, and instead left with more questions than .

Air con condenser replaced. Had to stop car on roadside on way home as no coolant in vehicle. Also front right of bumper detached and not fitted correctly so have had to rebook it back in for correction

I have used Halfords for years not anymore. Very unreliable and to be fair untrustworthy was quoted a price then doubled it when I went to pay. Luckily I saved the original quote. I will be taking this further.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a garage. Really too much to go into here, I would be typing for ages. It was abysmal from start to finish.
