I went there today to get a new battery for my car. The whole experience was extraordinarily positive and rewarding from the beginning to the end. The team member at the till listened to the reason for my visit carefully and apologized that his colleagues were currently tied up with customers. I was later greeted by Andy. He was polite, competent and reassured me what he was planning to do. Another team member replaced the battery efficiently and offered the best deal to make the payment.

Mark fitted my road angel front and rear dash cams. Perfect job, once he was finished you could not tell he had been there (apart from the cameras) He explained everything to me and downloaded the app on my phone for me. Perfect job, and what a thoroughly nice person he was. I will certainly go back to the Darlington branch again.

This Halfords is affronted by a car park managed by a third party organisation. The maximum allowed staying time is 02:00 hours.
Whilst the technicians, who were wonderful, took a little longer than expected to complete work, my vehicle overstayed the 02:00 limit on this car park.
Subsequently, I received a Parking Charge Notice asking to pay a £100 fee. I got in contact with Halford's customer support (who are centralised, not located in-store) to ask them to get involved.
There was little they could do, and now some months later I am faced with a County Court Judgement for an unpaid parking fine only owing to my appointment at Halfords running over longer than anticipated.
Again, the staff in store are lovely, kind and happy to help. They did a fantastic job, and I am pleased. I am not pleased at the prospect of bailiffs knocking on my family home chasing money from a legitmiate customer.
