Stayed here for one night before a big charity bike ride, which meant leaving very early in the morning. Michelle & Steve were so accommodating, letting us store our bikes, and leaving out some breakfast stuff for us to have at 4am before setting off. The rooms were spacious and clean with tea & coffee, just what we needed. Thanks so much!

Comfortable, clean and also friendly .The breakfast fry-up was delicious , especially the fried Black Pudding .If you wanted to substitute or change items on the plate it was no problem .The Bar was a unique feature of Militaria and the staff kept the drink flowing for our group of 21 old soldiers .If in Darlington , I?d highly recommend the Greenbank Hotel .Great value for money !!!!

It was very decent, comfy enough bed, had all what I needed for a one night stay, from a picky point of view, and I can tell the owners are putting alot of work into the place, maybe just keep an eye that all lights and sockets are working. And the lock on the shared bathroom door needs fixing, so didn't fancy having a shower. But all round it's a good little place.

Stayed there recently. Lovely hosts, very friendly...opened the bar up quite late after coming back from playing a gig in Darlington. Place is clean and tidy, Breakfast was great.

We have stayed at this hotel regularlysince 2014.The couple who run this are verywelcoming & hard working.It's a happy atmosphere, & the breakfast is excellent with a large varied choice, and good quality coffee.

Can't really say too much to be honest. Can't be negative or positive neutral it is then.We had been booked into Hallgarth Country Club but due to family mobility problems we had cancel and look elsewhere. I booked greenback as it sounded lovely but by time we got through to taxi firms due to Gay pride night in Darlington my phone died we arrived and they had taken booking off street. We were left to stand on doorstep with my wife in pain with her legs and had try book somewhere else. We were stood on someone else's front step like divys and just wanted get home with two kids getting bored. Taxi guy was brilliant tried help us get booked somewhere but since my wife struggled get in taxi she got into panic attack it certainly wasn't best day ever. I don't doubt it was probably lovely place just not very good first impressions.

Lovely weekend at The Greenbank hotel. Brilliant family room with loads of space. Well organised and felt safe during covid restrictions. All spotlessly clean and tidy. Warm and welcoming hosts. We'll be back
