60-64 Northgate“The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble for them. Was in there yesterday and the prices are brilliant. They deserve all the praise in the world. I am in my 70s and even other customers help me and we all compare prices.”

Unit 4“Quite a small shop with lots on offer, but the layout doesnt really make any sense there doesnt seem to be a reason for things being placed where they are.But its a classic poundland isnt it”

Darlington Retail Park“Finally a bigger shop with a great new look fresh and clean. 17 aisles to get lost in and now with bakery! Unfortunately after a few weeks stock levels are low and can be bare at times. Senior staff are keen to help if needed.”

Cornmill Shopping Centre“One of the scariest moments of my life today, my mum collapsed in the cornmill. Thankyou so much to the security/first aiders who were on hand very quickly and soon erected screens and sheets for her privacy. Thankyou to the two ladies who quickly called for an ambulance and offered their help, you were all amazing and I can't thankyou all enough for what you did today ”

67 Skinnergate“Really brilliant shop, got all you need including loads of different perfumes all at good prices. Also sells some unique sweets and drinks at the best prices I've ever seen.”
“A great place..I spent a fortune here when I ran professor Maniac's Emporium of Wonder, a mental illness creative project in Darlington. Sadly since the new owners of the Cornmill Centre in Darlington told me to pack up and leave, I was too quirky. I've saved a fortune from shopping for new display materials but I miss my 350 monthly visitors so much. I NEED to help people with mental illness but despite there being so many empty shops greedy property developers want full rent. I miss my space so much.”
