I have been with Barclays for over 20 years and the service was amazing however today (12/6/23 13:15) I went to the bank to get a replacement for my card. I seen two girls, one short, fat one and one tall. The short one was very rude to me and was racist. I asked for her name but she didn?t give me, she said she would give me from the bank.

I was very impressed with the customer service in this branch. Whilst I didn't need any of the services required by those leaving bad reviews, I needed guidance and found this readily available. People who did need attention appeared to get it readily from the friendly staff. Such a refreshing change. Thank you!

Well where do I start ...Been waiting long time to leave some kind of review but was hoping that this branch gets better, unfortunately not, there it goes then ...Today went and lady said we can only transfer 10k online abroad and there is and hour waiting time at least for someone to make this transfer for us, went to Middlesbrough instead and gentleman said you can make up to 50k online which was true, so please employ competent staff, but its not the first time something similar has happened , when we had our mortgage approved and found the house bank said they made mistake and we can not borrow that much but offered us £50 compensation lol asked them to keep their money and try look after customers better, there was more cases but no point dragging it over :) ah and opening times which we all know , especially people who own business and need counter service, You probably know the case!The only one good thing there is Mr Clive Richmond who goes beyond anything trying to help, he has never let us down with business and sometimes privet accounts advice!!

Using Covid as an excuse not to work office hours or weekends, will be closing account as soon as i can get in during the limited opening times. I have worked through the Pandemic and the Bank is huge compared to most offices, shocking attitude to customers.

Doesn't open on a Saturday any more.Can't get during the week because of work. It's a large bank with plenty of space so don't use Covid as an excuse.I'm not happy and wil be closing my account and moving to a competitor that actually tries to help it's customers and open on Saturdays.

Awful experience yesterday. Stood for 45 mins in the street in the pouring rain with many other waiting in their new ticket system. No discernment for the frail or elderly in this queue.There were only 3 staff and a security guard.One in the doorway asking what you need help with ....A bit pointless as the security guard had already asked and allocated a coloured ticket according to this.One wafting around who i guess was waiting to help if you needed it with the machines and....one behind the now only counter which is technically for business banking but was where most of the waitees were going..and hence why the cue was so long.This bank only a few years ago would have been fully covid secure lots of staff behind protective screens....now ranks of machines and no human help. I personally hate the system of standing with an assistant looking at account details on a tablet which I think is neither comfortable one confidential.It seems to have passed them by that if customers were willing or able to use technology they would all be banking online.

Terrible service. This place is very thin on ground of staff and they just palm you off with phone numbers to ring for business banking. Iâ??ve now left and set up an on-line banking account- much simpler!

I have never been disappointed when visiting here. Whether it's to withdraw a few pounds or just to make a cash deposit the staff are very happy to help, the banking machines are effective and let you do what you need to do quickly. However if you have to line up and actually see a clerk there will inevitably be someone checking balances as they transfer money from one account to another and withdrawing specifically what they need, taking far longer than they should. I try to be as quick as I can when seeing a clerk. The downside to the self service trend this bank adopted a few years back is that there are now only 2 cashiers available at the bank. I would personally have at least 3 but that's just me. Unless they're really busy then they pull 1 clerk off the desk to help the public. Yeah there is issues but I give 5 stars for service here and the bank is open on Saturdays!
