Carvery was lovely on Sunday. Get loads of meat and plenty veg to choose from.Gentleman serving the meat is a character.

Always get a lovely warm welcome when we call in here. Good is lovely, staff are friendly polite and helpful, we only live locally so have never stayed over so can?t comment on the accommodation but if it?s anything like all of the other areas and services offered it will be great

Back in early July we stayed here one very wet & stormy night on the way home from Scotland. We were glad of a friendly reception, a comfortable (if small) room, and an excellent breakfast.So returning from an other visit to Scotland a couple of weeks ago, we stopped in for dinner on the way south, and enjoyed a lovely evening meal at good value prices.Keep up the good work!

Our stay at Tranquil Lakeside Haven was a serene escape from the demands of everyday life. The peaceful lake views and the gentle lapping of water against the shore provided a sense of calm. Our cabin was clean, comfortable, and had a perfect view of the lake. The hosts were warm and provided valuable insights for exploring the nearby trails. This is a place where nature's beauty takes center stage.

We are Fairly Regular as 'Eating Out' goes.Calling in for Our Tea, after Visiting Agricultursl Shows.As DIRECTED : Orders were to be placed FROM 6.30pm, so we relaxed with Alfresco Drinks.However, returning to the 'Bar' at 6.45pm, the wait was Extended to far, Methinks.SO : We Decided to Leave 'n have something at Home.Leaving a Place, not so busy, replete with £40> saved toward our Next 'Roam'!! ???

Not posh, but a nice clean, well maintained place. Service maybe a bit slow, but very pleasant staff. Good selection on the menu, and good quality food at a reasonable price.

We visited here last night (friday 1st september) for a girls catch up. I have to say i couldnt fault anything about our visit. The whole place was immaculate, the staff so lovely, and the food very very good. We get together regularly and have recently been quite dissapointed in the venues weve chosen. But we will definately be returning. Thank you all at firtree you were amazing ?

Very disappointed, been before, bad practice to make people wait for table when only 5 tables occupied to try and make you spend more money, asked if chef had changed as food was different and poor in comparison to previous visits. I had the famous steak pie which was nothing like it was on previous visits to be told nothing had changed, which it clearly had. They might as well of called me a liar. This was not just me saying this as people I was with who had also been before also said the food was of a lower standard than previous visits. Will not visit again or recommend again.

After a good start it really went downhill! We paid the full cost of our stay prior to arriving. We went for food on our 1st night where we were asked by the bar staff if we wanted the drinks on a tab , i just paid for them at the bar . We had 1 more drink with our meal, the bar was quite busy when we?d finished so we had a short walk and had a drink at the other pub in the village. We got back had one more drink then went to bed, The hotel is quite close to us and would have been a regular unwind, as I?d suffered from a aneurysm. I was woken up 10 pm asking for me to go and pay the bill, I couldn?t believe it . I explained we were there another night so not going to do a runner. I was told I needed to go and pay now. Even though the owners were in the next morning, no one would speak with me. Very poor customer service and a way to build a business!
