We visited Sweet Things for breakfast last week and loved every moment. The food was delicious?simple, fresh, and comforting. The café has a cozy, cheerful feel, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. A lovely little spot that lives up to its name. Can?t wait to visit again!

Went to this cafe with high hopes sadly my experience left a lot to be desired. Went on a Saturday morning got a table outside only to be told that they were too busy for the next hour to serve any hot food or sandwiches. All they were offering were cakes from glass counter. I didn?t fancy a cake at 10.30 in the Morning. They were very unapologetic about it. I asked for a can of pop only to be told it would cost me £2.45. Yes you read it right £2.45 for one can of pop. I politely declined mainly out of principle. I instead took my customer elsewhere and if you want my advice don?t bother with this overrated place go to Hownsgill cafe up the road at the grove where they sell same cans of pop for £1.00 and you?ll get a delicious home cooked breakfast and they won?t take your eyes out. Don?t believe the hype about this place and save your money go elsewhere !!!

Excellent little hidden coffee shop in consett, imo Coffee is superior to Costa and Starbucks.. I said coffee, not those desserts in a cup full of syrup! Speaking of desserts there's an outstanding amount of them here and god knows I'm gonna try the stack of Nutella pancakes on my next bike ride.
Grandma gives the scones a solid score and its one of the very few places she likes the coffee from so its a winner for picky grandmas everywhere

Lovely cafe, food takes a little while to come out but it?s lovely when you have it. Staff are lovely. Very girly and cosy atmosphere and it?s dog friendly which is lovely to see. They have a doggy menu aswell.

Just been for breakfast on Father?s Day, reserved for 9am. Good job we did reserve as it filled up fast and I see why, Bloody lovely. Place looks great and the food is great too.

After many people recommended sweet things to me I had not been. Today we managed to get there and not disappointed. It?s a lovely bright friendly place. The staff are lovely. The food was delicious, very reasonably priced and plenty to eat. We will definitely go again. Although we don?t have a dog it was lovely to see so many there with their parents. Will definitely recommend and will be back xx

Great customer service, though very busy.
The cafe is based on a new housing estate in Consett.
The surroundings are quite tranquil with a green area and view of the Pennines.
There are outside bench areas and water for thd dogs outside,there were quite a few dog walkers.
I had a hallumi tortilla wrap with a sweet chilli sauce and salad; with chips a side salad with a dressing/ colslaw.
I had a takeaway lunch and waited about 15 minutes. Cost £11with a sprite can
Is disabled friendly.

Absolutely fantastic cafe in Consett! Had the unicorn pancakes which were delicious and looked so beautiful. Also had a huge Oreo milkshake and a biscoff coffee which was flavored with actual biscoff! Honestly one of the nicest cafes we've been to!

This was my first visit. I didn't know it existed
It was very clean, and the service was excellent. I can not comment on the food as I only had a scone, which was OK, but a bit cakey.
