Have gone there since it opened, used to be very good in all respects however in past few months it has certainly gone down market. Coffees pretty poor and often cold, staff are fair but the place is dirty with cobwebs and dust everywhere. Requires some sort of screen on front windows as sun shade.

Regular customer here, lately I may end up going else where with my friend who I take with me ,every time we go lately , the coffees are not either hot enough or done correctly cappuccinos are made as if they were lattes , cappuccinos are meant to be frothy and foamy the only staff that make the drinks correctly are the young lads especially the one with short curlyish hair he is so polite and friendly and helpful . The trays are never done correctly , no knives or napkins offerd or put on the tray when they should be . sorry but I love costa but this one is going down hill , it's so unorganised, every other costa I've been too which are more busy don't have this problem there on the ball and very efficient.

I only bought a Decaf Cappuccino medium through the drive through. Cost £3.95
Good customer service and was quick, but their coffee is nothing to rave about.
I'd rather pay a bit more for Tim Hortons or Starbucks.

Came here as had "5mins" for a coffee break, as only in Consett for a work call. Had the new Salted Caramel Milkshake (as a take out), and very nice too!! Staff friendly and helpful. Would come again when next in Consett.Parking: Parking around Costa & KFC. If not able to park there, plenty in main shopping area.

Seems to have gone downhill ? coffee is good but apart from that I expect more from the Costa brand ? the service is average but the cleanliness is very disappointing ? three staff and tables not cleared and floor could do with a wash let alone a sweep to pick up the debris. It?s not a nice welcome when you walk through the door and see tables not cleared ?

Longest wait ever. Was very busy but I think the stagg were not very well organised. They were very slow. Apart from the girl making the coffees who was very good until she allowed another member of staff to squirt the cream on my latte. He launched the coffee everywhere. Had to wait for it to be re made after being in the shop over 15mins already. I go to Costa regularly but not this one and I won't go back.
