Though the footfall for B&Q is alot sitting in my car whilst my hubby looking for gray paint- no gray paint! ? There is only a small shelving space for paint, not worth going to, and this B&Q is much smaller than Durham city retail park. Parking is good though.
We are going to Durham B&Q now.

I?ve just visited B&Q Consett and spoke to a very polite and helpful young man on the paint mixing station called Owen. He found the RAL colour for my existing paint colour so he could mix matching colours for both masonry and wood surfaces. He listened to my requirements and was a pleasure to be served by. A credit to this store. Thank you very much!

Poor customer service!!!!!!! Would not take a return on a plant this should be clearly labelled and was not told when purchasing. very disappointed! Would give no stars if I could.

Awful experience in store with woman named Lisa on the paint section. Asked to get a colour mixed as a sample for which I had the codes. Got shrugged at in the face and told that if I didn?t have the colour saved I couldn?t get it. Went back the next day to get the 5 litre tub without testing. When giving her the codes I got an attitude and told that I needed to have the colour saved to get it, in which my boyfriend said that is the reason we have the codes to type in and get the colour. Got my phone snatched off me whilst getting the colour and snapped at the whole time. Had an awful experience with her and she spoke to us horrendously. Finally got the paint which couldn?t have been a bigger ask. Awful customer service considering how nice we were to her and also how much money you are spending in the store.

Have used this store regularly recently for click and collect decorating materials. Parking at the door with friendly welcome.Unfortunately I made an error on the last order. This was quickly and efficiently rectified via customer sevices then in store by Louise. First class service from all staff involved.

Always found staff to be great and helpful until tonight . Previous times buying Valspar paint staff helped me to choose the warmth of colour I wanted . Tonight when I asked for help I had the flay of arms and told that ? I can?t choose the colour for your house, that?s your choice?. I wasn?t asking for that I was asking about the tonnes etc and also had a picture of my furniture to show to compare the colour that I didn?t bother with as didn?t want to help . Hopefully the helpful one will be back to help if I should return to the store .

Nice clean and very friendly, first time here so can't say much, range is limited by size (which is true of anywhere), it didn't look small from outside but much better space than my local superstores to move around, at least that's the feeling I got, but should cater for most needs generally speaking.
