Old fashion pub the food I had was ok as I never tried it before the wife enjoyed her salmon was a bit to old fashioned for me but the service was good and price was reasonable

Had a Sunday dinner today with the wife and dog and got to say it?s the best Sunday dinner we have both had in a very long time. Everything was well above our expectations and our expectations are high lol. The staff are mint with the dogs too Our Luna (the dog) enjoyed getting fed some meat off the staff and receiving as many loves and strokes she wanted. (And that was a lot.). It?s Not only the staff and food that are amazing in this little village pub but also all the patrons are so welcoming and love making a fuss of the dogs too. Thank you everyone see you all again soon.

Upon arrival we had to ask for a chair to be swapped- as it was full if rice. Lady was not happy. Ordered 4 meals ( parmos- 2 for £25 on board). A drink each. Food was good. But the staff do not tell you when ordering thats its extra for the garlic dip- its extra if you want anything other than a plain parmo. Staff tried to charge an extra £10 on bill untill we quereed it. Then this argument about it not stating you pay extra for each topping. Its not the price - its the lack of transparency . How many have been overcharged and not realised. Bad experience. Will not be giving it a second go.

Beautiful pub with a really friendly atmosphere all round. The landlord made us feel extremely welcome. We sat outside to eat in the beer garden, which is lovely and peaceful with an undercover section if the weather isn't at its best.. we ordered our food off the lunchtime menu and a couple of pints. Food was made to order and absolutely beautiful. This is the 2nd time we have eaten here, and it definitely won't be the last. Highly recommend ?

What an absolute disappointment. Booked a table for 2pm for Sunday lunch taking our elderly parents and two other family members. Ordered drinks which come quickly but incorrect from what we ordered. Proceeded to order lunch. We sat and sat with different people coming and going ordering their dinner, being served and leaving. People coming in and ordering takeaways, getting their food and leaving. After 60minutes, I went to bar and said how long we had been waiting to be told that we were next to be served. 15 minutes later, still nothing. My husband at this point was absolutely furious and went to the bar to pay for drinks and.advise them that we no longer wanted the food due to the ridiculous amount of time we had been waiting and the amount of people who had come in after us and been served, eaten and left. He was told we were definitely next to he served but he said we were leaving and going elsewhere. There was no apology, no nothing only to be told it didn?t matter about paying for the drinks. Definitely will not be returning. Very unprofessional and poor management.

Popped in after we dropped our caravan off nearby. Lovely pint of cider & Guinness and fresh water for the dog. We dat outside and enjoyed the sunshine...yes sunshine ? Great pub, great staff and big beer garden at the rear and a few tables at the front. Will forever be our stop off when taking our caravan back to storage.
