The past 3 times I have visited the branch to withdraw an amount of money I can't withdraw at the cash machine I have been waiting almost 30 minutes for conversations about personal lives, peoples retirement, weekends with the kids and just generally things that could be talked about on their personal time to finish, people don't have hours to wait for staff members conversations to end and if you think they do maybe put both kiosks on because I can guarantee there is always someone in there doing nothing. Today I went in, joined the queue and was asked if I could be assisted without waiting in the queue I assured the person that I am here to withdraw funds I can't withdraw at the machine so I remained in the queue, however I was again left waiting for people to finish talking about what was going on this weekend after a fifteen minute wait for someone to deposit £2,000 I was quite frustrated and then when I got to the counter I was told there is no till or change, so why didn't the first person tell me I couldn't withdraw such amounts? Why do the staff here get the tea and biscuits out for everyone that needs to use the counter, Darlington doesn't do that all other branches I have had to visit do not do that so why does Bishop? Are they better than other branches? Because there is a very stuck up attitude in the whole place. Staff members will do well to remember that midday is quite an important part of the day for a small business and people have things to be getting on with, we don't have time to listen to Susan and her weekend jollies.

I am very sorry for this score , I am disabled and was desperate to speak to the branch on a matter only they could resolve, unfortunately I could not get past the telephone banking line and was unable to speak to you . I have been in a serious state for the past 5 weeks but that apparently does not matter . Please fight to change the system to at least help vulnerable people. The score was for the telephone banking line not for you .

This is diabolic service ... 3 staff...the teller is very slow, the customer service agent cannot get through to head office fraud department who have blocked a payment.NOW... we can't draw any cash.The bottom line is: Santander has erroneously blocked a payment online and even visiting the branch with several proofs of identity does not allow us access to OUR money!Appalling systems.

Branch has reopened on reduced days and hours for the moment. Open Tuesday Thursday and Fridays 10 to 3pm
