Used to be Woolworths a long time ago back in 2008 since it's when all Woolworths stores has been closed since December 2008. Earlier in mid 2010s, I been inside this shop called Boyes, when I was with my mum and my sister from my school. Then this year, I visit inside during college sessions. Thanks for viewing my memories.

It's OK for odds and ends Wilko replacement similar to B and M. Been three times and each occasion overcharged on bill on the last occasion bought one butter dish and got charged for four eighteen pounds too much, always check your bill. Whilst in the queue the gentleman in front of me had brought back two pairs of jeans the previous day totalling thirty pounds for a refund, he was back because his wife checked his refund to find out was not a refund but he had been charged for two more pairs, the staff oddly didn't challenge him and refunded him his sixty pounds.

I love going to any Boyes stores. They're always friendly and helpful when needed. The only issue with Bishop Auckland one is its setting and placement of the store. It is at the top of an old derelict once busy street. There are more shops with shutters up than what's left open. But once inside it is well kept and clean.the Isles are kept clear and are wide for wheelchairs/pushchairs. Most of the shop is on one floor which for me is ideal.prices are very competitive too.

Spent hours here! They have nearly everything you need. Service isn't bad, but could be a lot better. The service makes you feel like you're interrupting their conversation with their colleague and judging everything you do and say. Not approachable at all. I go there for the goods not the service, because I know I won't get good service here.
