I was unable to renew my DL online as my details on my passport and licence were different, with my middle name missing on the DL. DVLA told me to go to the PO, obtain a D1, get photos taken, complete forms and post off etc.When I mentioned this time consuming process to the PO assistant she did a quick check and was able to complete my application on her tablet, take the photo etc and I was finished and out of the door in 7 minutes. Fantastic service, thank you!

Barnard Castle used to have many banks.Now it has one. All that bussiness has ended up at the post office and it was busy anyway. They are really doing their best to see everyone as quick as possible. Please be patient. They are lovely people.Glenda x

This Post Office looks quaint and old-fashioned from the outside, but the customer service is far from it! I have only found one counter assistant to be helpful and friendly, whilst another certainly needs a lesson in good, old-fashioned customer service as she is very UNhelpful and UNfriendly! On the plus side, the Post Office is well-stocked and has good hand sanitising and social distancing measures in place.

This is a great little post office, offering all the normal postal services, including a free cash machine, a small counter to rear for none postal services, ie cards & wrapping paper etc. A photo booth for passport photograph's just inside the door. Limited parking outside with disabled bays, but more parking within the town area.
