I really enjoyed my visit here in 2023 (and grasses I bought from their nursery stock have been brilliant). In Feb 2024 I emailed to ask for recommendations for an exposed and sunny site I am planting up. Neil was extremely helpful, and took time to look at a photo and offer some very useful suggestions. All round great for a beautiful garden visit, friendly staff on the day and real generosity of knowledge to answer a few questions from a grass-novice. 5 stars.

What a lovely place, first impressions, friendly welcoming staff, good car parking and clean toilets. Lovely little shed for tea/coffee and pay on trust in the office.Free entry for RHS members. The gardens are not huge but plenty to see and plenty of benches for a rest. The grasses and perennials on sale are high quality and reasonably priced. Can?t fault it and will definitely visit again.

Maybe my expectations were a little high but it was a bit of a disappointment. It was very well maintained, with a large number of volunteers but it was a little boring. Smaller than I expected too. It had shrubs, some lovely trees and lots of grasses but it felt old fashioned. Just lots of grasses but nothing really as a counterpoint like some flowers or prairie planting. They had some Japanese anemones and michaelmas daisies but that was about it. The nursery had plenty of grasses but I wasn't inspired. Shame.

Wonderful place. Serene with the grasses waving gently. There are other plants too. Coffee and cold drinks available but no bustling, noisey cafe. Various grasses available to buy. We had a lovely, leisurely visit and left feeling relaxed and refreshed.

I went in May, 2022 I feel the gardens is not being kept like it used to be, which is a shame, the current owner appears to be more interested in selling plants, than to do quality refurbishment to the gardens. The recent projects are leaving the garden looking unattended, left alone and it could be so much more of a showcase. Please do some serious overhauling and rebuild what once was a beautiful garden.

Gardens and nursury, mainly grass type plants, all very nice, lush and mature planting, well worth a visit.
