We arrived on a Sunday evening. Immediately we were upgraded to a bigger room by the lovely landlady. We had dinner which was delicious and reasonably priced. The room was clean and luxurious. The whole vibe of the hotel was amazing. The lady who serves at breakfast is an asset to the hotel, she was so friendly and welcoming. We are returning at new year. Highly recommended

We arrived late after on a Sunday and wanted to have a roast. They were really busy serving a party of 27 plus people that had booked. They were soooo accommodating but told us we?d have to wait 20mins. True to their word, our food arrived and was lovely. Thank you

First there were 6 of us and the service from Jess and Zoe front of house was excellent. Michael on the bar was very polite and very friendly, we shall be visiting again.The food cooked by Dillon and Adam the chefs was absolutely superb and the manager Trefor has got a brilliant group of staff and done a brilliant job in turning the kings head around. Rest assured we will be back.

Stayed for 2 nights on business. Had a spacious room with a nice bed & view over car park (nice to keep an eye on the car). Nice amenities. Didn't need to call hotel staff for anything, checking in was fast & efficient. Emergency numbers prominently displayed if needed (at reception & in rooms). Only had evening meals but orders were taken accurately, and food was lovely. 2nd night was busier so slightly longer wait but such is life. Overall a great stay, easily getting in my recommendations for South Dorest/Bournemouth/Poole trips.Rooms: Very good for the price point - when I got my final bill I was impressed - the rates are very good for the billing. My window was a bit mucky & bathroom could use some TLC but upon check out was informed hotel due a renovation within a year or two so those small wrinkles look to be ironed out. Lovely bed, lots of facilities. Didn't have to call on the staff. Parking is first come first served so beware!Food & drinks: Standard pub grub - Sunday roast & steak very nice, sides are good. No serious complaints, no undercooked food, wrong orders, cold food or anything. Just cooked nicely. Good breakfast options - cold continental or cooked. Polite & friendly wait staff.

I just want to give the Kings Head a huge thank you for our wonderful Mother?s Day lunch. It was a fabulous experience nothing was too much trouble the attention to detail was flawless. Thank you for my lovely candle and flowers and all the kindness we received. The food was absolutely delicious and we were truly spoiled by all the lovely staff.

A Hotel located within walking distance of shops, restaurants and cafes, with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Very ideal for car travellers as it has onsite parking which is always several levels above most hotels who tell you to park in multi-storeys.Laura, who is extremely helpful, is very accommodating. Honestly, it's everything that you want and more.
