I visited the store yesterday looking for a football annual. The store had numerous empty shelves, no staff and poorly lit. It was so depleted that it looked as though it was closing down. The stairs leading to the upper floor were filthy. Such a sad situation. Ps I found the book in another store.

HRM The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations 2022
This year marks a historic event for the British Monarchy as we celebrate Her
Royal Majesty The Queen?s Platinum Jubilee. Commemorating an incredible
70 years of service, 2022 will be filled with celebrations to honour the first
ever British monarch to reach this milestone. Not that us Brits need an
excuse to party; but what better excuse than a royal anniversary!
Jubilee-themed celebrations this year will range from parades, to parties to
pageants. And at home, communities are coming together for events such as
The Big Jubilee Lunch to party with friends and neighbours. So, if you?re
planning to join the festivities this year, we have just what you need to throw
a good old British bash.
Get ideas to put on a special spread with cookbooks filled with ideas for
everything from picnic snacks to party food. Plus don't miss our fun
partyware, as well as face-paints for the obligatory union jack flag on your
cheek. Outdoor games such as croquet and rounders are ideal to get the fun
started if you?re lucky enough to see the sun.
As well as lots of Jubilee party ideas, we have a selection of books on the
royal family to help families to reflect on the legacy of Queen Elizabeth II.
Wonderful photographs and revealing stories give us an insight into the
remarkable life of the royal family, and books for children help little learners
to understand the momentous occasion

Upstairs is closed during lockdown. Unfortunately that was the only reason to visit WHSmith in Weymouth as everything else can easily be got elsewhere in town. Don't know why they stay open if the upstairs is shut. Magazines, books and gift card are hardly essential shopping, infact, I dont think anything in WHSmith is essential shopping!

A great sized store over 2 levels that sell a good range of magazines & newspapers, soft & hardback novels, maps & local area information, stationary, flash drives, DVD's plus office supplies, greeting cards plus much more, sadly I didn't find the staff that friendly nor helpful when I asked a simple question.
