If I could give a review of 0/5 I would. I couldn't agree more with the other reviewers statement about the employees being bullies. We rented a property through Mann and they charged just over £1000 in agency fees to do next to nothing. I found myself chasing people to complete simple pieces of paper work. All in all we paid through the roof for lots of drawn out, bureaucratic nonsense that delayed our eventual moving in date. During this process of Mann bundle in another scam by forcing us to purchase home insurance from one of their partner companys (let's cover) otherwise they wouldn't go through with the process and we would have lost our holding deposit, obviously we weren't made aware of this clause before handing over the holding fee. On leaving the property, going about getting our deposit back was as we expected, a nightmare. Both us and our landlord had trouble even getting sense out of them over the procedure we needed to follow to get our deposit from Mann. First they told us that after 15 days of moving out it would be credited back into the account that paid it originally. Now after over a month and a half of us and our previous landlord hassling Mann over the deposit, we still haven't had it back and only today recieved an email asking for the account details of where the deposit is to be paid. Why weren't we sent this 7 weeks ago, or after the countless times of ringing/ emailing asking about the deposit? I would never rent a property that was handled by Mann again, it was far too painful from beginning to end and moving house is already stressful enough. I'm certain my previous landlord will never be using Manns "services" again either. Having since dealt with another letting agency (bristolreslet) after moving out of this property I was reassured that not all estate agents are as terrible as Mann, by far, with admin costs a quarter of the price and the most pain free, speedy renting process I can imagine. Avoid Mann Countrywide at all costs
