Lovely food, well prepared and the staff were friendly and helpful. The menu didn't have a huge choice, but what was available, was more than enough.

Such a wonderful Christmas day. The staff very efficient and catered to our needs. All were friendly ,helpful, and hard working. We are staying 6 nights and will definately use the Brewers Fayre again.Paul is a fantastic manager. Helped us and was very kind, funny and was on the go all the time. There was a medical emergency and Paul handled it very well. Well trained in such an incident. We will definately come here again as we were made to be truly welcomed. From table 23 Paul and Lynette

Paul is an excellent Manager. Very efficient, knowledgeable, funny, thoughtful. He managed his staff well.Despite having a bad foot he soldiered on without any moaning or complaining. He was very customer focused the whole time. The welcome we got was second to none. See you again soon Paul. Keep up the good work and happy new year to you and your staff.Lynette and Paul

Waited an hour for starter's that we had to chase up. They came out burnt and over cooked. Waited a further half hour after being told 5 minutes for main. They didn't come, so we asked for a refund and ate somewhere else! I never complain but this was a joke. Would never recommend or go back.

Hardly any staff. Had to wait ages to get served. As usual only one coffee machine working. That ran out of coffee. No spoons. No sugar. Gravy all over counter by coffee machine. Staff did see but wasn't bothered. Still like it one hour later.

Went for roast dinner on Sunday, not a patch on the old days, dirty tables, very few staff, man on carvery rude, got the scrag end of beef, chewy and sinewy, no idea why theg cant do some nice cabbage of greens on the carvery, just peas, not nice. Very disappointing visit, guy behind bar very nice. The guy on carvery nearly throwing plates of meat at guests. Very sad to see the place so unloved, this used to be packed on a Sunday afternoon. Please sort it out ?

We booked breakfast and dinner though the hotel, we asked for a 7am breakfast booking so we could leave early, we were not informed that the restaurant only opens at 7am and when we arrived at 7am to locked doors the restaurant was only opened at 7.10. The service was horrible, we were not greeted nicely, no one checked if we were ok and the eggs were not fully cooked. It was an overall bad experience. It's sad because the ambiance was really nice.

If you like staff that talk down to you because they are having a bad day this is the place for you. If you like awful food and your side to come out at a completely different time to your main you will love this. If you enjoy a raucous atmosphere at the end of your hard working day then perfect. Just ate and got out of there. I will not stay at the hotel again.

Lovely staff, who are helpful. However, there were not many of them therefore service was slow. Waited 30 minutes before being told one of the starters was out of stock. Then waited a following 30 minutes for the food, which some of it was cold and forgotten. You also have to pay nearly £5 for the soft play area which is inside the building.Parking: Parking is good and can put number plate inside for 3 hours of parking

First class value for the 3 course Xmas Dinner Menu. Good food, great value and excellent service just as we had last week and numerous times before. Many thanks to the new management and staff, will be back soon. Also still the best value breakfast in the area !

Overall, it was a good evening meal, though the starter came out with the mains, all was cooked well, tasted good and enjoyed by the three of us. The place was clean and tidy. Service was a little slow to say it was mid week and not busy.

We had breakfast as was staying at the Premier Inn. The service was poor service in general. Long queues at the door when we arrived, Eventually to be shown to a dirty table, as was every vacant table in the place. Food was a help yourself buffet style which was cold and obviously presented hurriedly. Clearly restaurant was very busy and completely understaffed and customers were having to clean their own table before sitting down. Everyone in the restaurant feeling bad for the staff who were trying their best in a difficult situation. The whole place seemed poorly management overall.

Made a booking for 3pm 12 people, on arrival noticed the place was very quiet.Sat down to order food to realise we had to order at the bar Which was a total shambles. Apparently 2 staff hadn't turned in..After a lengthy order the food did arrive not long after but somehow most of it was cold and pretty inedible. Most ordered refillable drinks to find we couldn't refill them and had to go to the bar which was over run with other customers waiting to order food drinks etc.The the kids had an hour wait for some ice cream.... What a joke.I'd advise anyone thinking of going here to rethink and go elsewhere.

It?s not often I write a review like this. But the service here was disgusting, and the general state of the place was pretty poor. There was food and empty glasses and bottles all over the place. It was a bit of a mess? not what you want when you are looking for a place to eat. Everything just felt sticky.Anyways? When we arrived it was almost empty, so we enquired about a table. The chap at reception told us they could not seat us. You will have to book. We don?t have any tables.Honestly.It was empty. Like 4/5 families, all eating or finishing up. Ok, fair enough - we will book. Even this process felt like a chore to this guy taking our booking. His attitude? jeez. I get it. You probably don?t enjoy your job, but I?m a person. I?m polite - I deserve respect.Considering how tough businesses are finding it at the moment. I expected better more welcoming service. We didn?t stay or eat here.

We booked a table here for 4:30 pm you have to park round the back next to the Premier Inn which you get 3 hours free parking . But make sure you enter your vehicle registration into the tablet when you get into the restaurant. We arrived early and waiting for someone to come to the desk as it states please wait to be seated. So we waited and waited and waited. Eventually, a lady shouted over that she would be with us in a minute. She was busy serving food along with someone else. When she came to the mian front desk I said that we had a booking under my name which took ages for her to find it. She asked if we wanted to go near the play area or away from it. We asked to be away from it as it distracts the children from eating their food. She showed us to a table and said that we needed to order from the bar. I went to the bar and ordered our meals which was easy and she sorted our drinks out. About 20 minutes later our meals came out. Piping hot and looked really nice. The plates were also hot which was nice. She did not ask if we wanted any sauces. Nor did anyone come over to our table during our meal to make sure that everything was OK. Everything was OK but it would have been nice for them to check especially when you pay alot of money to eat out now. The children's spaghetti bolognese was a nice size portion for the kids and they had garlic bread with it. We had the chicken and ribs with the coleslaw and side salad. One with chips and the other with jacket potato. It was extremely delicious. Again, the plates were hot. Still noone came over to see if everything was OK. My little girl was still eating her food and the young girl asked if she could clear our plates away and get desserts. I said no to the desserts but she could take the other plates away. Rather rude asking to get desserts when you could see someone was still eating their food. My little girl finished her food. But we had to get the attention of the waitress to come back to take her plate and request our desserts and she never came back to our table this must have been at least 20 minutes. We asked her for the desserts and she took the plate away. Another 15 minutes went by and she came back to the table and said that her ticket had gone for our dessert order and I had to give her our order again for it to be made up. We waited and waited. 3 desserts came out and then finally the 4th one. They were not worth the wait or the money we paid for them. The kids were ok but the main desserts were tiny. The chocolate torte with raspberry sauce was more like a cake base and mouse on top and the freeze dried raspberries were no where to be seen. There was so much sauce that it drowned out the torte itself as it was very over Powering. The chocolate crownie lacked the cherry centre and a smallest amount of icecream. Very slap hazard chocolate drizzle over the plate its like they did not care how they served it. Portion size was small and again not worth the money. Desserts were very disappointing. No-one came over to us to make sure we were ok. Overall the main meals were nice the puddings were a let down. Service could be greatly improved. I might go back if we were in the area but its not a place I would recommend that stands out in the area.Parking: Parking is round the back by the Premier Inn but make sure you put your vehicle registration in when you get into the restaurant. 3 hour only on parking.Kid-friendliness: There is a play area there but we did not use it.
