great country pub food was superb and very good value for money

Outwardly nice location, car park very small and space taken up by an indian take away van!? Spacious, characterful main bar area inside. Staff rather frosty. Waited ages for meals to arrive. Pleased to say we all enjoyed our meals when they did arrive. Nice triple cooked chips. I enjoyed my Thai red curry.
Set in a 16th–century, thatched–roofed property, this quaint family–run inn with rooms is 2 miles from the West Dorset Heritage Coast and 5 miles from the Abbotsbury Swannery bird sanctuary.
