Came for Sunday lunch on Mothering Sunday. They were booked until 3.30pm and it was still very busy when we arrived. We had booked the day before but couldn't find our booking but still managed to find us a table. Myself and my husband both had the roast chicken and could not fault it for quantity, quality or taste it was delicious. Everything was cooked just right down to the lovely crispy roast potatoes and the amazing, not out of a packet gravy. We have been coming to the Banke's Arms for years and yesterday's visit did not disappoint.Food & drinks: Great value, good choices.Well cooked and presented.

Went for lunch after a bracing walk around Corfe Castle. Lovely old English pub, very cosy with the fire on. Great bbq pulled pork for lunch. Can?t quite confirm 5 stars as didn?t see what was on draft!

Didn't use the hotel, but have been twice for food now. Have been to many pubs for meals and drinks, but have to say this is by far my favourite. The food is exceptional and absolutely lovely. The best quality food I've had in a long time. Had the roast the 1st time and the steak the 2nd time. Both were presented with 100% attention to detail and tasted amazing. The drinks were good too. The lines clean and lager/beer tasted like it should.15/10 for service and taste in this little qauint pub set in beautiful surroundings. Strongly advise to visit!

Slow service. Would have been a 4/5 rating for the tasty food and a nice staff member but it took a very long time for our 2 desserts to arrive. We waited longer than we did for our starters or our main dishes and with no Information given to us about what was happening we had to give up and leave.

A quirky little hotel, with very friendly staff and will try there best to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Nice big comfy beds, with warmer rooms and decent bathrooms. Can be a little noisy with the pub under the room we stayed in and the main road running past. That aside we had a fantastic weekend. Thank you.Rooms: No usb sockets so bring a plug in socket.Nearby activities: Castle is worth a visit with grate view from the castle keep of the village and on a clear day you can see pool. A wonder around the village shops is a must.

Lovely atmosphere and food. The chap there very kindly demonstrated building the fire in the wood burner so we knew how to do it in our holiday cottage.Everyone...staff and customers...we're very friendly

Really upset today. My partner and I were in Corfe for the Swanage Railway Winter warmer. We visited the pub at 2pm, and made reservations for dinner at 5. The barman even let us choose the table we wanted to dine at.We rang a few minutes past 5pm to say we were delayed by 12 minutes. We arrived and there was another customer sat in our booked seats. We were given another table. Whilst we sat purusing the menu, we were told, that at 5pm, there was no soup left and the chef had been waiting for us before going on a break, we were told starters, mains and dessert ALL had to come together. We were made to feel like a complete inconvenience. As a chef of 25 years, I was really upset at our treatment today at The Bankers Arms. Do better. Never blame the customer for your shortfall.

We've been going here every year for New Year's eve dinner since 2016. It's a cherished family tradition for us. Gorgeous building. Right in the heart of Corfe. Historic, cosy and haunted... so everything we love. Food was tasty with something for all tastes and veggie options. The young waitress who served us was attentive and kind. The barmaid was a different story. Weirdly unfriendly and annoyed when we arrived and ordered drinks. Shame she wasn't enjoying new year because we certainly were! Great beer garden for the summer months right by the steam train line. Dogs welcome.

Beautiful pub, great location but rude & disinterested staff. If you want to run a locals pub probably best buy one not next to a massive tourist attraction.

Made to feel belittled by the barman and two locals for asking if dogs were allowed in the bar. Then they thought it acceptable to give my dad attitude for asking for two half pints. Beautiful building, same about the inhabitants. 10/10 would not recommend.
