We visited Anglebury House Restaurant on July 15 for an evening meal we were very pleased to find a really pleasing menu making it hard to choose your meal l had chicken katsu curry and my wife had ham and cheese pasta and a great bottle of wine ? all for a great price. Bruce

Nice place to stay, good location, good food. One real downside, plumbing is pathetic. My Daughters room couldn't use the toilet as it was blocked, my room, no hot water in the sink, had to boil a kettle and the shower was a dribble. Such a shame for a lovely place.

Went here without booking, for lunch. This lovely building is ancient, going back to 1590.
I actually sat in the seat we're Lawrence of Arabia once sat. He lived and is buried in the town.
Anyway the food was fantastic and not expensive at all.
Great service and a good atmosphere.
I would recommend this place.

Visited 22/6/25 this hotel only for a evening meal and not a stay over,and as a vegetarian option i had Mash and 3 sauages in onion gravy with a side of fresh vegetables which was cooked so there was a little crisp edge to them which was just right.The lady who served us was very attentive so the overall experience was very good and worth a visit if in the area.

Old and quirky hotel. Rooms are nice and practical. Very clean and just nice. But the evening meal was awesome. Great choice, well priced, and super quality. Will return for sure. Wareham is a lovely spot, great pubs and shops but just a nice place to be.

Pokey room with a crap wire spring mattress on a slat bed, as old as the hotel ?
Pillows marginally better, but also not good
At least it was a queen bed
(not double as a few places have)
Only 1 mug in the room (couldn't be bothered raising it, but how do housekeeping not check)
Quite disappointed

We stayed overnight in Lawrence's room during our visit to Tiger Day at The Tank Museum. The room was incredible; tons of charm, modern amenities, comfortable beds, and plenty of room for 3 adults. The staff were great and made check-in/check-out easy. Our only regret was we didn't stay here longer. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel with great history and amazing service. The room was ample and the bed big. Homemade breakfast was included and I cannot recommend it enough.

Booked well in advance for a wedding on the South coast.
As 3 adults and a child we had the family room, 1 double bed and 2 singles with ample space and decent bathroom.
Breakfast was outstanding, choice of cereals, juice, tea or coffee. The menu also included toast or croissant, yoghurt/granola or various cooked breakfast options and the quality very good.
Nice place to stay, ideal location for our stay and a reasonable price.
The only negative was the downstairs restaurant don't have high chairs, very strange considering children are accommodated... minus 1 star for that.

What a lovely hotel right in the middle of Wareham and was able to park virtually outside at no cost.
Only a one night stay.
My room was incredibly comfortable with a nice bathroom with a great shower. A great night's sleep.
Had a lovely evening meal and breakfast was very nice.
After hearing about my various visits to sites around the country associated with Lawrence of Arabia our breakfast table was set up so I could sit in his seat, a wonderful touch from an extremely friendly and lovely lady.
Great value too.
