We stumbled upon this one of a kind gem. I have a few pet hates in life, one of them being charged a fortune for less than a sliver of mediocre cake and the other being horrible coffee, again at exorbitant prices. Love cake is like my gold pot at the end of my rainbow, where I get to choose from fresh decadent slices of cake, the slice size comparable to the titanic and coffee that was smooth, HOT, and creamy. What a delight for my inner child. The ladies were so warm and smiley and the cafe oozes a softly vibey atmosphete that is just so good to hang in. Honestly, I would move house to be in close walking proximity to this space except that my husband is not buying into the dream. You just gotta girls, leave the men n kids at home and go do what ladies love to do, drink coffee, eat cake , chat up a storm and then pop into the local church to do penenace. Enjoy ?

Walked to Love Cake in Swanage from Hamworthy. Needed some food and drink on arrival and we ordered Welsh rarebit and some tea. Good rarebit with a tasty side salad. Before departing we bought some cake to takeaway. Marvellous. Excellent, friendly service. Will return.

An absolutely lovely cafe, with a warm welcoming atmosphere on a bitterly cold winter?s day. My wife and I only stopped by for coffee and cake as we were a little pushed for time, but the food and service was impeccable and friendly. It was particularly pleasant to see that dogs are welcome! As soon as I get one I will be back! And as for the cakes?well, there was a terrific selection and they all looked delicious. This is how to run a cafe, well done.

Edit: A year later, and it?s still as consistent as ever! And the prices feel totally appropriate. Delicious breakfast. As my teenager said: there was literally nothing wrong with that! High praise indeed!
