We had a fabulous 2 nights at the Bennett Arms. The hosts were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was lovely and clean. We ate in the restaurant both nights. Enjoying fish Friday and a lovely Sunday roast. We also enjoyed the Saturday Music Trivia Quiz which was a lot of fun. The location is great for visiting Shaftesbury which is 5 minutes by car. We would highly recommend staying at the Bennett Arms if visiting the area, Semley is beautiful and quiet. We will definitely return.

So we had an amazing dinner here, we were on our way home and popped in as we were hungry. The food was amazing. So good that I forgot to snap a photo. Parking was okay but for a rural pub it was pretty good. There are steps to the bar but I am positive the staff would be able to support anyone with this but it might be hard to go to the loo. I really have nothing to complain about. Hopefully we come back when we drive through again.

Traditional country pub. It took us about 90 minutes of leisurely walking from Shaftesbury. It was Fish Friday and there was a good range if fish and seafood on the menu.

Fantastic find for a Sunday lunch ?. We had Roast beef and lamb shank . Plenty of real ales ?
Syrup pudding cake for dessert.

Love it! We've eaten here twice on our holiday, plus a couple of drinks, and had a warm welcome and fantastic service every time. The food is wonderful.
