We spent 10 nights in the Mukota tent and absolutely loved it. The tent has everything you need (excellent beds and luxurious bathroom), beautiful views and lots of privacy. The kids loved playing in the brook, cuddling the dogs, and visiting the pigs. Clive and Carolyn are wonderful hosts and their daughters now run a lovely cafe with fresh food and great coffee. We will def be back and I could not recommend the place more!

Wonderful location on a working farm. Very peaceful and we particularly enjoyed taking our five year old on evening walks by the fields and stream. Excellent location to explore Shaftesbury, Stonehenge and Longleat. The tents are of exceptional quality. Be warned that there is a short walk from car park to tent so best to travel light! The info video was very helpful. Only lost one star on the Service because the security deposit came as a bit of a surprise at the end of the booking process and felt quite high - I completely understand why they might need one though, and the full amount was returned to my credit card within a week of the trip. All in all, would definitely recommend.

What an amazing place! Beautiful glamping tents in a glorious countryside setting! Carolyn & Clive go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and allow the perfect place to unwind! It's amazing how peaceful the area is and the stars that you can see at night are incredible.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in Piglet at the Black Pig Retreats and will definitely be booking a return trip. The yurt and site set-up was great with a well equipped outside kitchen, fluffy towels and dressings gowns and a small on-site shop. The village shop/cafe are within walking distance, as is a pub and it was easy to get a short taxi ride into Shaftesbury (pre-book taxis though). A great balance of a seclude spot that away from it all but with everything you could need close by.

I brought my two sons to Black Pig Retreats and we had a wonderful time! Spotless accommodation, beautiful setting, and we felt like we were miles from anywhere. The boys loved making camp fires and cooking sausages and chicken, not to mention the joy of toasting marshmallows. Luxurious kitchen and bathroom facilities. We will definitely go back and I really recommend this to couples, families and anyone who just wants a gorgeous change of scene.

We had a wonderful few days staying at Black Pig Retreats. The quality of the tent and furnishing were a treat - real glamping. That is just what we wanted as some of us are not campers but really love to get away from it all. The sun set on our deck as we relaxed after busy days walking, cycling and a trip to the beach. Carolyn and her team looked after us very well. Always there to answer any questions we had and even left out our order for our BBQ that day, as we were heading back after a busy day so the delicious local sausages and burgers were defrosted just by the time we got home and ready to cook! We have told many of our friends who are keen to visit too. We would love to come back and explore more of the area. Thank you

None of us had been glamping before so did not really know what to expect. It was incredible! The safari we stayed in was immaculate, clean and cosy. The beds were beautifully made and plenty of soft blankets were provided. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The site itself is tranquil and quiet and the view from our tent at the top of the hill was stunning. We would absolutely come back again! Thank you so much to our hosts at the farm for your warm hospitality.

We loved our stay at the Bothy for two nights. It was cleverly equipped and we came away wanting to build our own straw house! The owners couldn't be kinder and more helpful and we look forward to being able to go back We were really sad to leave. .

Simply marvellous. We booked the whole site for a 40th celebration with family. The weather was fabulous weather and the site was amazing for grown ups and children alike. So much space and land to roam around. The tents were very warm when the wood burner was on and the place had everything you needed. My family were in the top tent so had to time our showers when others weren?t having theirs but considering we were camping we could cope with it! Lovely to wake up and hear new lambs in the field next door. Carolyn was the perfect host. Thank you so much. A holiday to remember!

We stayed in the Mukota with our two children (6 and 8yo) and we all loved it, the safari tent is spacious and warm and beautifully furnished with luxurious bedding and a fab little kitchen area. The location is great and the play area out front was perfect for 2 boys who love to run and play football and throw frisbees. Excellent campfire area outside where we toasted marshmallows in the evening. We will definitely be back.

We have just returned from a week at Black Pig Retreat. I went with my sister and our families and the kids loved the open space and freedom and we loved the wonderful safari tent accommodation especially sitting round the fire pit and the comfy beds with warm duvets. Carolyn and Clive were so helpful and friendly going out of their way to ensure we were happy. Thank you for a memorable holiday.

This summer was our second time at 'Black Pig' (both times we have stayed in the Mukota tent). We (family of 4 - to children aged 11 and 13) had a great time - the tent has everything you could wish for and the farm setting is amazing - beautiful, peaceful and welcoming. There are some nice trips out (we did Wardour Castle, Stourhead and Shaftesbury) and plenty of places to eat and drink close by. Can really recommend to a family of four wanting a chilled break for a few days.

What a wonderful place to visit with friends and family. Our first experience of glamping and highly recommend this absolutely stunning experience. We stayed in Gascon which sleeps 6. 1 cabin double bed, 1 standard double bed and twin single beds. Gascon also provides a sitting room, dining area and kitchen and is equipped with a lovely wood burner and oven. There is a fire in the private garden area too, equipped with griddle for bbq's. The location on the farm means your not encroaching on anyone else's peace and is set in beautiful Dorset countryside. Lots to do close by as well as lovely walks at the farm. Highly recommend this beautiful farm. Carolyn and Clive are very accommodating and lovely people.
