It's absolutely ridiculous. I am not entirely certain who was serving us. However, they have a complete lack of understanding of the By proxy laws in the uk. They were trying to id me, a minor, because I was holding a bottle of alcohol (amongst other items) for my mum. Which is not even close to how the law works. They said that even if I was holding a basket for my mother, they wouldn't accept it. Which i highly doubt. Are they saying that if a child touches the basket a parent has, the child must be id'd? What if the child is pushing a trolly with alcohol in it? They would not elaborate where this incorrect interpretation of the law draws it's line. Utter bullshit.

A busy fuel top up shopping place, with a great small M&S in store. Always do food top ups here & I recently bought the sweetest mini light up Xmas tree.

The food is fairly expensive but really good quality, literally you can't go wrong. Staff are polite and sympathetic to us shift workers. Will always go back.

Excellent stop, with a great variety of M&S food (incl. gluten free chicken and bacon sandwiches!), friendly staff, and clean toilets.
