This surgery is by far the worst in the area. Appointments are rare as hens teeth and getting what you need ie sicknotes required for work are a nuisance obviously. Obviously can't cope with the amount of patients in the area and when the new houses get, built I dread to think whats going to happen!

Very difficult to get an appointment as someone who works for a living and trying to get a prescription sorted for a family member has been an absolute drama. Vital medication runs out tomorrow and told they will do their best to sort the prescription despite having the request for repeat well in advance. More often than not we have this issue with prescriptions and to say it causes anxiety is an understatement. 'Do our best to get it sorted' really isnt good enough when someones life is literally dependent on their medication.

Impossible to get an appointment, routine appointments are not available for at least a month and unable to get across to them that I am not well enough to wait until then. It's a pathetic service to say the least.

Very polite and helpful staff. Clean, light and airy building. Appointments arranged so that there are not too many people in the waiting room at any one time. Getting an appointment is a bit of a rigmarole, but that's most likely a staffing issue. Not bad. Access to appointments could be improved by having more staff.

Have been going to Royal Manor for quite some time now and been quite pleased with the service however went for a blood test the other day which was fine a few days later had a phone call from them which i missed because I don't get a signal at work managed to get my return call answered after two days of trying to get through only to be told there was no record of a phone call on my record from them which makes me concerned my argument is every phone call to a patient from the surgery should be on record

Been with this doctors for 7 months now and have never dealt with such a bad surgery. Some staff are police but numerous times I've dealt with very rude people. I've also had to follow up multiple set appointments which haven't been met, and then have to wait even more weeks. Doctors also make u feel rushed, I get the industry is running short and hectic but I've been made to feel my health doesn't really matter. Just spoke to a lady who told me I'd have to call back in a few hours and then before I could even say another word she hung up on me. They'd also blocked my number is the past when I was trying to follow up an appointment.

Been with this Surgery for years and it used to be one of the best, but now they have lost the plot, the lack of communication is terrible, the management need sorting out, to get to see a Doctor almost impossible, the whole system needs a severe shake up, and that is why they have been bottom of the list of Dorset GPs for three years, no sign of any improvement at all and we the Portlanders are stuck with them, I wish I could say something positive about the Surgery but there is nothing, Diddly Squat, such a shame.

I had a very difficult decision to make. I am a strong supporter of NHS but the waiting time for a 'straight forward' NHS Hospital test was 12 weeks. To go private cost £100, I am 74 and can afford £100. It was a rubicon for me! Thank you Royal Manor, you can refer me to the private test of my choice! I can remain within the NHS envelope of care. It took me 2 weeks to pluck up the moral courage to ring. Thank you for making it easy for me.
