Helaas wordt er geen avond eten meer aangeboden. Ik vond het bed er slecht slapen en het ontbijt was niet echt geweldig meer als 7 jaar geleden helaas...

Excellent place to stay, very friendly staff. Reason for 3 star rating, staff shortage (no one's fault) but this impacted on services such as evening meals. One minute they are not doing them, the next they are. However, those who had purchased food from outside were able to sit and enjoy their meals in the dining room. Would improve with a signage system to inform residents of what is going on. Bar was open Friday/ Saturday night. Excellent evening and atmosphere.Rooms: No complaints, complementaries were restocked, beds remade, excellent staff.Nearby activities: World War 1 and D-Day museum opposite, excellent display and information. Well worth a visit. Lots of local history.Food & drinks: Not many areas around for sit in meals in the evening.

Having stayed here throughout the past 7-8 years is now an absolute state to experience for the following reasons: no clean bedding, the mattress was uncomfortable and was completely covered with stains and had blood stains on the duvet cover, didn?t get my bed changed once when I stayed. Didn?t have a good nights sleep as the dog kept barking (sounded like it was on the balcony) didn?t get to sleep till around 1-2am, needs to control the dog more should not be keeping the dog outside late at night to bark the whole street down, the curtains were wrong size for the windows and had light coming in early hours so got very little rest. Bathroom was not very hygienic had no soap or shower gel/shampoo. There was a dirty scum mark round the bathtub. Breakfast wasn?t as warm as it should be and it?s not up to the high standards it was renowned for under the previous owner and staff. And it?s a real shame the cafe and the bar are no longer open to the residents and locals, that are staying there and the locals who used to use the cafe and the bar. Also the amount of free parking spaces during the day has dramatically decreased as another business has acquired these spaces so we have no spaces to park outside where we booked our accommodation, very limited free parking spaces for residents.

What an absolute dump of a hotel. Mattress must be at least 10 years old, no soap, no shower gel, no towels. Curtains did not cover the window so light came in really early. I have travelled to hundreds of hotels with work around the UK and abroad. This is the worst by a considerable distance. Pay the extra and stay at the Heights Hotel. Would rather be on the Bibby Stockholm.

Stayed two night while on a training course. Room and shower room modern newly refurbished and clean, has parking and the full cooked breakfast was good and available from 7am which was great to get an early start. Nice location for a walk around marina and castle. Staff frendly and helpful. I would have no issues recommending this hotel to others or returning for another stay. Good job Aqua Hotel team.

Humble hotel with basic accommodation. Owner is very lovely and has a nice parrot which was very cute ? I thought the accommodation was a little expensive for what it was, it wasn't luxury but I suppose we all have our overheads now. The basics were great e.g. the shower and the towels, the TV only displayed x2 channels which was odd. The area is a little run down, not the fault of the hotel but it was an odd place to stay on that island. The breakfast was made by the hotel owner and he did so much to accommodate vegetarians. No overall complaints. I do wish the owners luck in their business and success, it does have more of a B& B feel rather than a hotel.

I stayed for work in the port. I had a super early start and the location is ideal for this. The Aqua far exceeded my expectations. I?ve been using the aqua for breakfast while working for years. The room and bathroom was absolutely spotless. I mean I have never seen a hotel bathroom as clean as that one.I saw a spectacular sunset from just outside the hotel on a hot summer?s evening. The staff and pet parrot Polly were friendly and the room was comfortable. What more could I ask for?

Very nice, clean, recently renovated, comfortable budget hotel. Very good service. Superb location for exploring Portland and Weymouth. Great history around - from Henry VIII , WW2 till 2012 London Summer Olympics.
