Despite Fortuneswell Boots closing down and extra strain being put on the services, The Easton pharmacy was coping with a backlog of customers waiting for their prescriptions at 5:00pm on a Wednesday. The staff dealt with the queue swiftly and with a friendly demeanor. A great example of public service in the face of cuts and closures.

Half of the staff are very lovely and friendly. Usually busy in there so they do their best. The other half are just rude out of nowhere and not helpful. Don?t like being asked the simplest of questions, it?s like you?ve deigned to ask them something.

Very hard working staff, who always give 100% despite being understaffed and having no permanent pharmacist for several years.I believe this chemist also serves the majority of the population of Portland (something many people may be unaware of), some 13,000 people, which is no small feat given the chronic underfunding of NHS services in this country.I have Never had any issues here, and think the people who work here deserve a medal for their continued hard work! ?

I find that they try to do their best under difficult circumstances. When you ring it can take a long time but the wait could be worth it. My call today has hopefully saved wasting our surgery time in getting a prescription that maybe was not needed to cover a shortfall. What concerns me now is it now under threat of closure.

This place is rubbish. They never answer the phone, like c?mon. Let?s just say if you need some medicine, then you can forget it because you?re not getting it anytime soon. They need more staff to run the place so then someone can actually answer the phone when you call.

There is no separate queue for products. If you want toothpaste , sunscreen, paracetamol etc. one must queue with the prescription customers. This often takes a long time as nearly everyone has questions or must sign forms or similar. There does not seem to be enough staff, hence the long waits. My estimate is around 75% (or more) of the time calls made to check if a prescription is ready, go unanswered ( ring out). The need to call is exacerbated by the long delay between reordering a prescription and the 10 days plus it takes to fill it. The call is important to avoid wasted journeys and wasted time in a queue only to be told it isn?t ready yet.The simple and possibly obvious solution maybe just employ more staff.

Multiple times I?ve gone in and they say that it?s not been sent across from the doctors. Emergency medication should not be this hard to get. This time I called the doctors to confirm it had been sent over and caught them in their own lie. They can?t be bothered with people, and just want you out the door. Understaffed, rude and unprofessional service from such a large company.

Been trying to get through on the phone most of the day no answer at all. This has happened before and was told rather abruptly that it's been busy. Shocking service from such a big company

So I?m not sure who it is but when they?re working the phone gets picked up then hung up ? it?s awful service. But when that person isn?t in the place seems to run well. I had a fab lady last Saturday who helped me so much ? but that was literally a one off! Sadly this pharmacy is awful. I?m so sad because there are a lot of vulnerable and house bound people who need this service and their only lifeline can be the phone which is constantly ignored.

Very disappointing service. Sent repeat prescription over and went to collect 5 days later. After waiting for staff to finish a personal conversation I Was told it wouldn't be ready for another 24 hours. I asked why it says 'Please allow 72 hours for any medication to be completed' on the repeat prescription slip, I was told I was wrong and it has always been 7 days. The lady told me that she been in the profession for 10 years and it had always been 1 week. It is concerning that someone who is dispensing medication isn't able to read the prescriptions properly.

It was ok for a couple weeks or so but it's gone back to bring closed between 1 and 2 and not answering the phone. Looking for alternatives.

Spent over 2 hours trying to phone this place but answered. This place doesn't give dam about there customers. According to internet there open all day. Sent me text saying prescription was ready but said nothing at all about being closed for 2 hours because of staffing problems. Got 2 chronic lung diseases that cause me breathing problems and I've now got to stand around in the cold damp air for nearly 2 hours because they neglected to tell me they were going to be closed. Absolutely useless.
