Ok let?s start off by saying the hotel is a great value for money. The only reason I gave the location a 3 is because the hotel is situated next to a main road, and doesn?t have a proper entrance. You need to come in through a side entrance and take a lift to the reception. There is a train station nearby and this does not disturb me. I am a transport enthusiast so I am happy to be able to see trains out of my window. The room is clean and comfortable. If you ignore the main road there is a nice view of the lake and if you like trains, there?s a train station too. The trains make barely any noise and you can?t hear them from your room. The window has a problem and couldn?t be locked properly, but that wasn?t a problem. Breakfast is ok. Food was amazing but the apple and orange juice was very watered down. Not happy. I would stay again, but if price is the same or more expensive than Bournemouth seafront, I?m staying at Bournemouth seafront. Would recommend if train enthusiast.

Brilliant place to stay. The room was spacious & clean. The staff were polite and willing to help with any queries. The cafe/bar was good also, a decent range of drinks and menu.Would definately recommend.

Nice clean modern room in a well situated hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The only thing which was a real letdown was the breakfast which was a shadow of what it should have been. Dry sausage, dry bacon, no mushrooms, no yoghurt. It was not worth £3 never mind £10.

The entrance area is dirty, lift wasn't working. I've solo travelled around many parts of the world and this is literally the first hotel/hostel to refuse to hold my backpack behind reception unless I paid an early check in fee of £10 as I arrived a few hrs early which is crazy. While I stayed there was building work going on in the building. Its by a main busy road which is very noisy. The girl at reception seemed friendly enough. I'd generally avoid this place if your in the area, the premier Inn (10 mins walk away ) where I stayed in previous evening I would recommend. They had no space but still held my bags.Noteworthy details: If you arrive early they will refuse to hold your bags unless you pay £10 early check in fee.

We stayed here for one night before catching an early ferry to Jersey. It was very basic. We only stayed here because they take dogs. I asked to take our well behaved dog into the cafe bar but they said no. Not sure what we are supposed to do - we can't leave a dog in a strange bedroom. I went down alone for a meal which was 40 minutes arriving and decidedly forgettable. During my meal someone else came in and sat down with a dog and no-one said anything. I was not pleased. The bed was comfortable but it was very hot and we needed the fan on. Very average but it is very close to the ferry terminal.

Convenient location for visiting Poole. Easy parking if you arrive early. They offer breakfast and dinner but they need to include gluten free options, especially bread and sausages. If you book for a group request rooms together otherwise you could be split up.Rooms: Clean, comfortable beds, no air conditioning, no room phones to contact Reception.Nearby activities: Poole Quay, open top buses to Sandbanks, Bournemouth and Swanage, boat trips. Recommend visiting Brownsea Island.Walkability: Easy walk into Poole town and quay.

Our room was so hot with no air con, was given a fan by reception at our request but this eventually broke also. No hand towels provided so had to ask reception for these also. Shower was so badly designed it flooded the bathroom floor every time it was used. One of our room keys didn?t work so was trapped in the corridors if didn?t have the other key on you. Entrance was unappealing both during the day and evening (bins, dirty, smelly, drunk people). Would never stay here again nor would I recommend.

It was so bad, we checked out early. We arrived to find we could not park, and ended up having to pay to park in Asda for the duration of our trip. The person who checked us in was rude, handed over the key - no telling me the room number or where the lift was or even what floor we were on. Did mange to tell my son he did not need to take the milks on the side that are help yourself because they had them in the rooms - I simply replied yes but you barely put enough in for 1 drink and my son said yes but my parents drink a lot of tea.The hotel was filthy, our room had no hand soap, and remnants of some sort of sticky goo on the bathroom counter all of which we had to clean ourselves. We put our "please freshen me up" sign on the door every day, yet we never got our room cleaned. Really really annoying when you get back from a day out to find you don't have towels, no bins emptied etc.The first day it happened - we went and asked reception for towels and after waiting well over an hour we had to go and ask again. There was a fake nail on the floor outside our room the whole time we were there. It is just dirty and horrible. I would not stay there again, I would not recommend anyone stay there either. We left a day early in the end and lost a night.I complained, was told they would reply, I had to chase a reply and all I got was we have refunded you 25%. They won't do anymore - so basically we got a refund for the night we left anyway (and staff told us that they were overbooked, so us leaving did them a favor as they gave our room away) but no compensation for the awful stay or the fact we paid for parking when they advertise it for free. One of the fire doors was also broken the entire time we were there. Not ideal!!Really disappointed in the hotel, and the response.Do yourself a favor and stay anyway else, we wish we had.

The hotel was still disappointed after staying there a few times, I thought it had a revamp but I could not see the difference, there was edging missing from of the bathroom door, dirty shower curtain at the top, no remote for the tv, delivery noise from outside being delivered to the shops below, coming to of the lift on the second floor the door to the left is STILL not working as it was a couple of years ago, the bathroom toilet is to close to the sink which was blocked and lots of flies present in the morning of day 2 in the sink.

Drop my child off at university for the first time. I was happy to get back to my room and relax. Had a late dinner and an early breakfast. Lovely. Would I recommend Travelodge? Yes. I always stay at a Travelodge :)

We stayed for one evening in a family room after dropping our daughter at university. The hotel is basic and no frills, as you would expect. We stayed here as it was conveniently located and allowed dogs. I don?t feel the accommodation was worthy of the price paid though. One lift was out of order, generally very noisy and no duvet on the main bed. Key cards were very temperamental and we had to get replacements. We didn?t eat in the Cafe Bar due to having a dog. Car park very busy. Costa, Subway and Asda all on site. Room was basic but clean. Staff were helpful enough but as a ?budget? hotel it?s the type of hotel where they keep contact to a minimum. Overall OK for a quick stopover with a dog.

We chose the hotel because it?s near the harbour and we were sailing to Guernsey the following day very early. The area wasn?t pleasant, there was no toilet roll in the bathroom and the room was very hot and stuffy. For that reason we kept the window open and there was music playing loudly all night then a car alarm started going off at intervals from around 2am. Very pleased to leave!

Just minutes from Pool harbour for the car ferry. Spotlessly clean room and modern clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. Our particular room was close to the fitness centre where music played all night so make sure you ask for a room overlooking a different direction to the fitness centre.

Convenient location near train and coach station. Car park quite big but does get full by mid evening. Need to make sure you enter car details at reception and park in correct area for free parking, as it adjoins Asda car park. We had alot of trouble with keycards being very temperamental, taking 30+ attempts at opening our room and door from lift lobby to room corridor . One out of the two lifts were out of order for duration of stay and call button for our 4th floor lift did not work. The bedrooms and bathrooms are smaller than other Travelodges we have stayed in, not sure if that is since they have been refurbished and they're trying to squeeze more rooms in. Although deemed a 'budget' hotel option I think the price we paid was more than it was worth, we have paid far less for a better stay in a Travelodge elsewhere.
