“Delighted with the service I received at the Cry charity shop on Ashley Road, Parkstone today (10.45am). I didn't catch the name of the lady who served me but she was so courteous and helpful. I bought a Russell Hobbs kettle for £4.50 which was excellent value for money. At home, I cleaned it, descaled it and it looks like new. Works perfectly. I have made several purchases from this charity shop over the years and I have no hesitation in recommending it to you. Beautifully presented, fairly priced items and delightful staff. Well done Cry!”

“The manager Sarona, and volunteer Fran (and also Jason on the last visit) were absolutely amazing and worked so hard on multiple visits and trips back and forth collecting items and clothes that I was donating on behalf of my mum. They were so friendly, kind and accommodating and I am very grateful to them.”

“Oxfam is located on the high street just down from the train crossing. It is your typical charity shop stocking clothes, books, toys and small gifts. There is always a vast array of stock and prices are reasonable as you would expect for a second hand shop. I have always found the staff to be really friendly and always willing to have a chat. I buy a lot of books in here and they are always priced around 1 or 2 pounds which I think is acceptable. As with all charity shops you never know what you will find within its walls s its always worth a look. Make sure if you are getting married in the near future to have a look at their wedding gear they have a great selection of reasonably priced second hand dresses that are absolutely beautiful.”

“Lovely shop, with some really interesting stuff. Unfortunately the member of staff I dear with to buy my items let the shop down. He didn’t even speak when conducting the transaction, just held his hand out. It was clear from his body language, he was not happy. I appreciate they are mostly volunteers, but if he is so unhappy that he can’t speak, perhaps he should volunteer elsewhere? Otherwise a great shop!”

“Had a great jacket which I didn't buy. My friend (accidentally, I should add) smashed a £30 snowglobe the week before Christmas. Nice variety of well-worn blazers, literally all the same. Multiple hats, also all the same, including size. Lovely staff, all two of them.”

“Ordered 2 pieces of future to a particular room and donated 2 more pieces. Unfortunately delivered to the wrong room and didn't pick up the furniture.Normally this wouldn't be a problem but as it's for a disabled man who can't work... It was a problem, but we've managed to move it to the correct room after a few weeks.Staff were helpful and delivery was very quick...”
