Friend and I went there especially for lunch there today only to find it closed and a sign up trying to recruit staff. NOTHING addressing the situation to clarify matters for visitors - not even the courtesy of signposting to the Ark. It was profoundly disappointing.

Third visit but won?t go again. This cafe looks like it should be a treat but seems to be run by people that don?t really care about food, service or customers. Disappointing.

Stunning spot on the lakeside. Impeccable service from Charlie and Chris accommodating all our requests for tweaks to the menu items. Highly recommended!

Closed overnight at Christmas, but announced they had reopened last week.
Popped down today, but closed with no staff there.
Limited menu and expensive.
Staff rude and unhelpful.
Crockery needs a new dishwasher and attention to detail.
Give it a miss.

Firstly find the entrance! Walked all the way round to find it was at the back.
Nice person served. Unfortunately no food at all apart from cakes in the winter (November).
Cappuccino was more of a latte, with no attempt to froth it properly. Chocolate put on without asking so not good. They really should ask on case of allergies.
Probably good for a meeting place for tea and cake but much too cold to stay long as there seemed to be no heating. Miserable. Left quickly and threw coffee in the bin. Probably better in the summer when I believe you can have hot food and it may be warmer inside! Shame as it has potential.

It was a cold day, plenty of seats available inside & out, snacks were readily available.
The only issue we had was it was a chilly day and it wasn't that much warmer inside

Poor selection of cakes but they are nice enough. Also, do real hot savoury food, but ONLY in the summer! It's winter now (they say) so coffee and cakes only.

Took my elderly mother for a cup of tea this morning. Couldn't believe that we were charged £3.10 for a tea in a paper cup as their machine had broken down? I understand the coffee machine must have broken down but unable to understand why they couldn't serve mum's tea in a teapot! Very disappointing. ??

The menu has vastly reduced in the last 6 months and, while the food was good, it was very expensive for small portions.
