Strange place?.where customers time doesn?t matter to them ( especially at 7:10 AM )
The staff always seem to prefer to be doing something else other than pushing the button to allow customers to get fuel.
Today the staff member at the till walked into a back room instead of allowing me to get fuel
Last time the same one was wandering around the shop area stacking shelves for ages while I stood at my van with the nozzle in the van waiting for him to go back to the till area and push that button which allows the customer to serve themselves.
Bring back served pumps if this is the best they can do.
Rubbish service to customers
Customer Service ?. Zero
It gets better,
The response to this review told me to contact Shell via a link so I did. But SHELLS
First and repeated reply was that it isn?t a SHELL garage but privately owned
Do not only are the staff ignoring customers but the ?business owner? is also ignoring customers by telling them to complain to SHELL.
And all this because a bloke in a petrol station can?t press a button cos he is too busy pretending he hasn?t seen an 8 foot high van pull onto the forecourt even though the driver of the van saw him sat in his seat next to the button.
Bloody Ridiculous

The Shell petrol station on Bournemouth Road in Poole is a standout for its convenience and efficiency. Situated in a prime location, it?s easily accessible whether you?re a local or just passing through. The station?s strategic positioning makes it a go-to spot for refuelling without the hassle of navigating busy city centres or obscure side roads. Its proximity to main roads ensures you?re in and out quickly, which is a massive plus for those with tight schedules.
What sets this Shell apart is the lack of queues. During my visits, I?ve consistently found the forecourt free of long waits, even during peak hours. This efficiency is a breath of fresh air compared to other stations where you?re stuck idling behind a line of cars. The pumps are well-maintained, and the payment systems are swift, making the refuelling process seamless.
Another highlight is the shop, which stocks my favourite mineral water?a small but appreciated touch. The selection of snacks, drinks, and essentials is decent, catering to quick grab-and-go needs. The staff are friendly and efficient, contributing to the overall positive experience.
The station is clean, well-lit, and feels safe, even during late-night stops. While it?s not the cheapest fuel option in Poole, the convenience, lack of crowds, and reliable service justify the price. For anyone prioritising speed and ease, this Shell is a top choice. I?d happily recommend it to anyone needing a quick pit stop in the area.

Always something wrong with the DIY carwash. Waste of time and money.
It takes your money and halfway through it stops. The foam and shampoo functions never work.

Went into the shop to ask for some change to use the pressure hose while waiting for the car infront of me to finish off and got given 5 x £1 coins only to realise that the machine ONLY takes card?!
Neither the pressure shampoo hose nor the hot shampoo on the other hose was working though so absokute waste of time and money.
Spoke to the attendant who literally couldn't have cared less!

Faulty pump would not work and leaked diesel all over my hand. No paper towels outside. Staff member didn?t care and insisted I still pay the 5 pence even though I was trying to buy a whole tank of V power diesel.

Sell half full Calor cylinders.
When I connected to the regulator I confirmed this. Flat out refused a refund or an exchange. Do not use this service.

I drove to the gas station to fill up. I should say that I am German and drive a similar car with the steering wheel on the other side! As I started filling up at the gas pump, a voice came over the loudspeaker. A lady next to me informed me that I was meant. I stopped filling up and went to the checkout. There I was told in a tone that I was standing the wrong way up against the pillar and that I should put the car the other way around. I admit, I drove from home to the gas station as usual ?. However, there is no entry prohibited sign on one side (like at many other gas stations in the UK or Germany) of the entrance/exit. The MA couldn't really explain to me why this is now a problem and why I shouldn't fill up with gas and should turn the car around first????. I would have taken the correct exit out again. I think the tone makes the music here and the way in which I was informed of my mistake (if it was one) could have simply been friendlier!
I think it would have been enough if he had told me when paying that I drove into the gas station the wrong way and that I should pay attention to it next time.
I then drove to another gas station ????.

This shell station I used to go very often however, since the jet wash machine didn?t provide car shampoo but only water, I didn?t go anymore. But today when I go for adding petrol the staff said the machine has changed, will try the jet wash if it is back to normal next time

As expected.
