I have always been happy, especially with the guy at the reception desk, but I noticed that, unfortunately, the staff have been changed and I had a bad situation where sarcasm wasn't appropriate. I want to encourage these young boys to be more responsible and sensitive in front of unpleasant situations and think twice before laughing, and I d like to know how many languages they can speak as well. I received an email a while ago with several offers, including a free tyre check and some tyres at a discounted price. I had a problem with one tyre and booked the tyre check.I took the car to the Cabot Road depot and the tyres were checked in very short time. I was informed that both rear tyres were showing signs of the walls deteriorating, with cracks appearing, although the car had been MOT'd about a month previously and passed, and not been used on the road since. I was told that an advisory should have been given, although not a failure.As one tyre was losing air, albeit very slowly, I decided to get the tyres changed. I was booked in for Friday, March 1st and told to be there by 8.00am.When I arrived at the correct time, there were about five or six people waiting at the door. I parked and went in behind them when the door opened. When I got to the desk to register my attendance, I booked in, handed over the key and was asked to wait. No time for the wait was given.I sat in the waiting area, reading a magazine. Time went on and the car was still parked outside where I could see it.At about 9.15am I went to the desk and asked what was happening. I was told that there was one more customer to be dealt with before it would be my turn. It was about 9.45am before my car went into the workshop, coming out at around 10.15am.I questioned why I was asked to attend at 8.00am, when the car wasn't ready for me until 10.15am. I was told that there were a couple of jobs left over from the night before that had to be completed before starting on the current day's work and that 8.00am was not an appointment time, just an arrival time and I was given a place in the queue according to when I booked in at the desk.At the time of the original booking, I wasn't made aware of this procedure and assumed that 8.00am would be the start time (approximately) of the work on my car, expecting to get the job completed within 30 - 45 minutes, one hour at the absolute outside.I have used the service at the Cabot Road branch before, but am very disappointed with today's experience and doubt that I'll be visiting again unless the system of booking an arrival time equates to booking a job time.I have wasted well over an hour of my time, when I could easily have been asked to attend at, say, 9.30am if the job allocation system showed that that was a more realistic time to expect work to be started.I can't recommend the the patronage of the Cabot Road branch and advise those considering using it to think again unless they have plenty of time to waste.JohnFollowing my review, I received an email to say that someone from Customer Services would be in contact. I subsequently received a phone call to discuss the issue.It was agreed that the system of "booking" was unsatisfactory and I was told that it was being looked into with a view to make improvements.Apologies were offered and accepted and a good will gesture of a part refund was given.I am satisfied with the outcome and am confident that, having brought the matter to the attention of management, an improvement in the service will be implemented.John

I recently had an MOT at this branch and all the staff were friendly.I dealt with Chris who in particular was extremely helpful. He speedily dealt with my MOT failure and efficiently arranged for a new tyre and retest for the following day which was a Saturday.Despite how busy they were on the Saturday he fitted me in and all the work was done by 10am.Brilliant, thank you!

I had a slow continuous pressure loss on one of my fiesta tyres. It was only about 0.5 bar per week. I wanted to get it sorted and the local Ford dealership recommended Protyre at Cabot Lane Poole. The technician assigned to the job at Protyre was excellent and found a small leak through and around the valve which is now fixed with a new valve and a clean up of the area around the valve. The cost was reasonable and I am very happy with the outcome.

Tried to rip me off, had them fit a new tyre after hitting a pothole, they told once it was done that both front lower arm rear bushes have movement, their words that they were "flapping in the wind"Got a second opinion from my local independent garage, who said there is nothing wrong with these parts, glad I double checked as they quoted £555.43 to have the work done, never going back there again.Edit: I was contacted by the area director who wanted to check the car personally and agreed the work didn't need doing, he also noticed my other front tyre was fairly worn on the inner rim, not to the minimum thankfully, so he offered a replacement tyre for half price, plus had the alignment done free of charge.

I ordered a new tyre through Black Circle and arranged on line to have it fitted at Protyre Poole. I was most impressed, a professional team who know what they are doing, I was only waiting about 10-15 minutes. 10/10
