I'm on my second pair of shoes in a few months. Matalan Poole replaced the first pair as the soles punctured and it sounded like walking a jiffy bag. I was kept waiting by the sales assistant for ages and the questioning regarding rejection felt like a full on ?cross examination.
The second pair have had two weeks wear n tear ...walking to the car and driving to work. This time of year my job is 95% desk bound the soles have failed again with a huge split....I'm 12 stone 8lb so not the heaviest chap in Bournemouth but these shoes are of such a poor quality they are only fit for the landfil. I used to buy all my shoes in Matalan but will not be returning

Still good value for money, but don't seem to have such a variety as they use to. There is a lot of the same stock . When I went they didn't even have any ladies smart trousers , all jeans, leggings , trakie bottoms and jym wear.

Vary large retail unit in middle of retail park just off of main through road and with ample free parking
Easy access through front to store, very well set out and managed store with ample clothes and sundries for sale.
Clean changing rooms and clean store with easy way round.
Very kind an polite staff team.
Self service and manned point of sale.

The clothes are fine and we were shopping for a holiday. Family of 4, normal looking and spent maybe an hour there. For the last 20 mins we were followed by a member of staff (male, tight jeans and attitude) and watched by him when we checked out, where he stood right behind us with folded arms. As soon as I paid he walked away.
We will not return
