I never usually stop off at this lidl but I had to pick up some bbq stuff.
I was helped my a very nice lady called Anna when I couldn't find the beef skewers and got what I needed
The shop was very clean and fresh and the parking is decent

Disappointed from day one. When I first moved to the area, I had a really unpleasant experience at this Lidl. I took a basket to my car (not realising it wasn?t allowed?there were no signs), and the security guard immediately accused me of stealing. I explained I just wanted to carry my shopping, but instead of a calm explanation, I got a lecture about ?disrespecting staff? and was told he?d report me to the police?he even took a photo of my car. Completely over the top and unnecessary.
Since then, the atmosphere hasn?t improved. Staff are rarely friendly, and the checkout experience is consistently poor. There are no self-checkouts or scan-as-you-shop options, so you?re stuck with long queues and rushed service. On my most recent visit, I asked to pay for some items separately (they were for a family member), and the cashier got rude with me for no clear reason. It felt like I was being treated with suspicion again.
After giving this store multiple chances, I?ve decided I won?t be going back. A shame, because Lidl usually offers good value?but the customer service here is just not worth it.

Get a bad experience from the billing person in counter 1. Today at 2.45pm . Her behaviour was not good and very bad experience. But the store is good and rest everything is fine and i am happy.

This store wins the prize for the weirdest security guard. I don?t know if he thinks he?s a security guard or the manager of the place. He pokes his nose into other peoples business when it is not necessary and seems to be deliberately antagonistic, wanting to stimulate an argument. My heinous crime was to try to pay using cash. When I went to handover my cash I was told it is card only. She pointed to a couple of badly designed notices that were hidden by other people queueing up at the belt. The cashier was happily dealing With the problem, yet the security guard comes over, points to the badly written ?busy? signs (black and red lines which are not obvious that they are trying to designate a credit card with lines through it) and tries to tell me that they have always had card only tills. Having used this store for at least 10 years, twice a week, I must?ve struck lucky because I never chose a till which was card only! The notice said ?temporarily card only?, that word implying that it is not very common. He says he should know because he has worked there for 12 years. Please sack him immediately!

Within the limitations of stocking mainly own brand products, it is possible to do most shopping at well under the price of the other big supermarkets. Large car park. Lots of interesting"man products" at very cheap prices.

Sorry to post this a while after the incident. But it was so disgusting I haven't been able to think about it. I haven't been in the shop since. I went in to the store and was going to have a look at their bakery products. There was a man and a woman with their hands up to their face laughing. When I looked closer, they were picking up bakery products licking them and replacing them on the shelf. Sorry it is indescribable why someone would do this, and the shop has a security gaurd. Obviously more concerned with theft than safety of their customers

1/10 Awful store, This has to be one of the worst. Very Badly managed. Out of date food, broken glass and safety issues throughout. very unclean. Avoid

there is a racist security guard works in this shop. We were followed to the cashier just because we put hand cream in a shopping bag belonging to another company and they insisted on emptying our bags. We have already come to the cashier so that we can pay for what we bought and they insisted on not understanding us. They also tried to make us pay for items we bought at different time. We even said that you can look at the cctv if you want. Besides, even if there was a slight possibility that we might steal something, why would i come to cashier to pay?

I went regularly every week, sometimes 3 times and always got welcomed by the owner Adam and the lovely staff who couldn't do enough to look after me. I haven't been for a while but do miss going and will return. I totally recommend Maravi. The environment is wonderful as are the staff and the appetising food.
