Made my first & last purchase at John Lewis, wanted a Lenovo pro tablet one of fastest selling tablets, but was told by the sales man it wasn't in stock, told him every grand Prix this year as had Lenovo signs all round the tracks, millions spent on advertising is the manager at the beach or working from home & not here to get any stock in the whole miserable store, Sales man said he can get me one tomorrow & can collect from poundbury so I said will pay cash as cash is king & all that & was told he had to see a bank card & a email or he couldn't sale me the Lenovo, cazy, the email is your receipt, find emails never work & I'm always changing them, when I got home no email had come through so I have no proof of Guarantee, when I got a yuasa battery from Halfords I got a paper receipt which I used twice in the 5 years to change batterys under 5 year Guarantee, so I got another 30 mile trip back to Poole to try & get a written receipt out of them, there's a closed down home base next door to this John Lewis another badly run business, all my TV equipment comes from Richer sounds where I get a large paper receipt with 6 years guarantee & free delivery to my house, i have never purchased a electrical item before without a receipt, don't see any point in John Lewis if they don't keep anything in stock & don't give a guarantee, can see why people get most of their stuff from Amazons, shops in towns are finished

I visited the Poole home store last night with 10 minutes to spare before closing after a very disappointed visit to Dunelm wanting some large cushion inserts for my sofa the male member of staff was absolutely amazing unfortunately the inserts were not big enough but he came up with another solution of square pillows which fitted perfectly and even carried them to the till unfortunately I didn't get his name.A very big thank you and a10 out of 10 for customer service

Not sure why it's called john lewis at home. It seems to be similar to a normal john lewis. Wasn't sure I had gone to the right place when I saw the sign

As per the other customer, the restroom was a shambols, and I cannot understand how JL could have overlooked the disgraceful environment for ladies. If my memories serve me well, the 'new' upgrade has been very poor, and I would have with toilets that don't flush! Yes right from the get go! And the wobbly taps and so far. How ever, as a passion for JL, and shop there as often as I can. I I know the world is in tourmoil and staff rare, but that is the present and many staff have helped me very well when I have high value items

A really disgusting shop. The toilets were dirty and unkempt. The taps were falling off and soap all over the sinks. Almost every stall was out of order or dirty.
The staff were exceptionally unkind to me and my husband and were exceptionally passive aggressive; trying their best to make us feel like children when we tried to return faulty items. The language they used was hurtful, and intended to make us feel stupid.
This shop used to be lovely to browse, but this experience has put me off returning.

We came over to buy headphones. My main goal to see the Marshall headphones. As the previous time 2 months ago I wanted to test it them. However, they were out of order one headphone was giving a strange noice other did not work.
We come back again with main purpose to buy headphones. The Marshall headphones were out of order. We bought a different brand but it's not exactable from John Lewis to be like that. You are putting customers off from your shop.

II visited JL Poole today because I wanted to order a Marlow garden furniture set £999. We had tried to pay online last week using some One4All vouchers (a bonus from work) but to no avail. Our local Waitrose in Dorchester had advised us to visit the Poole store in person to see if we could order that way.
Arriving Sunday late afternoon, the staff were so helpful, trying hard to resolve a multi gift card order, and their attentiveness was superb. Eventually just before closing, with advice, supervisors (and a bit of luck) Marlow set has been ordered
No store other than JL could have done this. To have the experience at till level, the customer focus to help me until order placed was the entire reason people shop at JL. To the Sunday checkout folk at JL Poole I say thank you indeed

I visited John Lewis at Poole yesterday to purchase a new iPhone and just want to say that the young man who served me was most helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. I unfortunately did not catch his name but on my receipt his Assistant ID is PL2082. He also answered a question I had concerning a TV I purchased earlier this year. Customer service Par Excellence. Thank you.
