I had such a great experience at David Lloyd Poole. The facilities are fantastic ? everything is clean, modern, and really well looked after. What stood out most though was the customer service. Jordan, the sales manager, was incredibly helpful from the very first conversation. He took the time to understand what I was looking for, explained everything clearly, and made me feel really welcome. It?s rare to come across someone so professional yet personable. Thanks to him, the whole process was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend both the club and the team here!

Not very nice at all unwelcoming.
Very dirty in all areas, and showers you can see through, frosted from the bottom and top but clear through the middle strange, I would not have a membership if this was my local DL.

This David Lloyd is one of the better ones we have been to. It is a really good size and boasts both and inside and outside pool. The changing rooms are nice and kept really clean by the staff. The gym has a wide variety of equipment and is relatively well spaced out.

My partner & I joined yesterday having been given an excellent tour & briefing by Chloe.
We?re familiar with various gyms & clubs in the area but we?re looking for somewhere that combines excellent facilities with a club vibe. David Lloyd Poole ticks many of the boxes we need, including the 25 metre pool, a huge & superbly well equipped gym split into different zones, spin & function rooms, café, social facilities, spa plus plenty of space for racket sports, including paddle & pickleball.
Chloe was thoroughly well informed about everything the Club has to offer, and about all the various David Lloyd processes and operations. There was no hard pitched hustle, just sensible advice & support. She knows the App system very well and helped us every step of the way. It was a great pleasure to deal with her.

I've visited some DL clubs which haven't been to the standard they should have been, but DL Poole is incredible. We've recently moved and been members almost 2 weeks and couldn't fault it. The facilities available, the options for kids, the family classes, they're all just great. Our son has been on school holiday and we've been able to come to the club almost every day, get a swim in woth him, put him into holiday club, get some work done, be can carry on playing in the soft play and it just makes life so much easier. Staff are brilliant, super friendly and don't hesitate to jump in and help even if you havent asked. A lifeguard saw me ajd my son coming in for a swim and within a couple of minutes, offered to get out some toys for him (we forgot the sinkies ?????) They also hold lots of family events and kids events and its just brilliant. Highly recommend the club for everything feom fitness, to social, to child friendly activities.

Even though my home club is Hatfield, I always look forward to visiting David Lloyd Poole. The staff here are super friendly, full of energy, and create such a welcoming atmosphere. The club has a great buzz to it ? always busy, but never so much that you can?t get on equipment. I?ve met some fantastic people here and genuinely enjoy every visit, far more than I can say about my home club. Excited to see the upcoming renovations and the new spa facilities ? this club really sets the standard!

Nice place overall.
Been invited as a guest for swimming.
Pools are nice and clean.
Plenty of room in the changing rooms and it's very clean.
One thing to improve-swimming pool outside looks a bit neglected.

Had high expectations, due to previous experience of David Lloyd in another area. Resembled a council run sports centre, cramped and a bit run down. Very disappointed and didn't even take the two weeks deal for £35 as not worth it.

It's a gym. I tried it for a year but ended up leaving, too many members simply don't care, fail to wipe machines, doing supersets using multiple machines, using phones filming whilst exercising or just making calls.
There used to be staff roaming the gym offering help or guidance, gently persuading members to follow the rules - all gone.
Maintenance is a joke, always multiple machines broken or in the process of failing. And the price just doesn't make it even close to value for money. It took them months to repair the failed Air Conditioning this summer, simple failure to manage facilities.
The Car Park is regularly so full you drive around and around looking for spaces. Several times I've just given up and left without even getting out of the car.
Time to leave and find a gym that represents value.

Good selection of classes for all levels, patient, knowledgeable instructors. Clean changing room with towels. Indoor and outdoor pool. Also nice restaurant.

I am absolutely done with this gym and have cancelled my membership. The customer service is non existent. Any time I need support or amendments, I am told to use the app and the staff insist the systems will not allow them to do anything for you their end. Each time I use the app, it takes several days to get a reply if any. I tried to cancel my membership in the app and as usual, no response. For £154 per month, it would be nice to be responded too in a humanly fashion. To be able to have a conversation with a person to get to the bottom of a situation is IMPOSSIBLE here. With the lack of trust I have in them, I've now just cancelled my DD to be safe. Understandably, corporations like this are pushing use of digital, but the work it creates the consumer is just AWFUL and TIREING. Simple jobs do not get done, and if they do it certainly isn't done efficiently or timely. The cafe is very slow, I often watch staff playing and chatting while sat waiting for a shake for 20 minutes. The value for money just isn't worth it. I did politely have to remind a member of staff I was still waiting for my drink after 30 minutes of being sat in a dead restaurant. The facility's are okay. Cleanliness isn't bad, but not great. Showers smell like sewage and pool facilities aren't maintained very well. I can deal with all of this but what I won't accept is poor customer service. To feel I have no say or control over my membership when I need it, because I have to speak to a computer to get any support at the price I pay is unacceptable.
